Okay, after rewatching the trailer I realize who Alfred is...
"As I was going to St Ives

I met a man with seven wives

Every wife had seven sacks

Every sack had seven cats

Every cat had seven kittens

Kittens, cats, sacks, wives

How many were going to St Ives?"

i have such a hard time when a hero like batman or iron man goes up against essentially a god level super hero.

its like, for decades batman has struggled with mortal human based villains, now he has to fight someone who is infinitely stronger, faster, and smarter than him, can fly, and shoots fuckin laser beams from his eyes. so batman brbs and builds a tougher suit. now he can defeat a god.

same as iron man. he was a human genius but still one guy in one suit. the suit helped him defeat a little above human average villains. oh now gods are attacking by the millions? brb build thousands of drone suits that can do anything. no problem

i realize 'unrealistic' doesn't fit in the comic book world... but there should be some scope of hierarchy.

I don't think superman is "Smarter" than Batman. If you read the comics and the Justice League TV series you know that the brain is batman. Batman have no powers and in order for him to stay as one of main characters in Justice League he only have have great martial skills but also great detective work skills, quick on his brains and outsmart his enemies. Even a lot of movies have Batman as the brain of justice league.

For me he will always be the guy who killed Mufasa.

From the first 20 seconds of that final trailer, I am actually excited Batman is being portrayed in live action the way he should. He may not kill ppl, but he will fuck you up if you are a criminal.

Exactly. Rotton Tomatoes is a place I never trust. Some of my favorite movies are critical duds. An example would be Super Troopers, one of my favorites and it has like a 30% from there.

I agree, you can't really aggregate opinions like that. What I do if I don't know about a movie is see if there is hype after a movie comes out. I had no intention of watching Fury Road, but everyone was saying how good it was. It ended up being one of my all time favourite movies. Same goes for Deadpool. I thought it was going to be another shitty Fox comic movie, but so many people were saying how good it was, I had to go check it out and it was really good for what it was.

There are a couple more that I can't recall right now that I knew nothing about, but there was so much good feedback that I had to go watch them, and ended up really enjoying them. Other times, I am hyped for a movie because of a director or actor, and it ends up not being as good as I'd hoped. A recent case in point for that is Hateful Eight, but that may be due to a shitty watching experience [sitting in a 13 degree Celsius cinema with a small screen, next to an asberger's guy who kept twitching and sighing every 10 seconds]

BvS will take a LOT of good feedback for me to go watch it in a theatre, and so far I'm not seeing much hype at all, just some apologies and excuses from fans for why they like it.

I was pretty hyped about this movie when it was first announced because I loved the Dark Knight returns comic and animated movie. I was still pretty excited when the first trailer came out.

When the second trailer came out and the entire movie was basically leaked on the trailer I became rather disappointed. It had the feel of Spiderman 2 where they crammed as much junk as possible into that movie and to build the potential for the Sinister 6 movie.

i will probably end up watching this movie eventually but based on my original feelings, the reviews and ratings this movie is getting, I might just do what I did with the last Fantastic Four movie. Watching it while cooking and chatting with friends and barely paying attention

Gucci Mane 03-24-2016 08:08 PM

^ ben afleck is batman. thats reason enough to not pay to watch it..

incubus 03-24-2016 10:15 PM

it was meh. I really wanted to like this movie but I left wanting more 7/10.

I watched it tonight and felt the same way. It's just meh. It seemed disjointed, spent too much time on building up Lex and I might get flamed for saying this, but the fight scenes seemed a little too drawn out. Seems like a star studded cast wasted on a crappy script.

I'd give it a 5/10.
