I was worried when I first heard Ben affick was batman, but now I think it suits him very well. I'm extremely excited.

its a fan movie. you have to know the batman/superman/justice league in order to enjoy it. Zack Snyder didn't help with the story telling either and made the movie very unforgiving to those trying to get in to the DC universe. Its definitely not a movie to attract new fans, but a good movie for the fans.

I enjoyed it and I definitely don't think it deserves the low ratings, but I do sympathize the people who gave it a bad review.

I don't know much about the DC universe and your right, during the movie I had questions that a person not familiar with the universe would have. Overall I still really enjoyed the movie though - the character development were solid and its great watching two super heroes battle it out

BBMme 03-25-2016 08:38 AM

I'm reading horrible reviews, I hope it's not as bad as people are saying it is

haymura 03-25-2016 11:26 PM

the negative reviews are because some people are getting confused with different storylines being introduced, how doomsday looks kinda like a ninja turtle, a lot of characters are being squeezed in the movie, and it doesnt have that "Marvel" humour.
I personally enjoyed the movie but i do agree it can be a bit of a headscratcher if you're not a DC fan or do not have a good knowledge of Justice League. This movie has the same dark feel as Watchmen so if you're used to Marvel-ish take on hero movies (comedic, feel-good superhero movie) then you will feel a little unsatisfied.
Affleck as batman was surprisingly great. He played the part well. In fact, i liked him better than Christian Bale's take on batman (flame suit on).
Fight scenes were great, some where a little over the top to the point where your eyes dont know what to follow.

Lots of easter eggs.

Just watched it and I thought it was great. It felt like a movie for fans and not critics.

Sure enough EleGiggle

Ulic Qel-Droma 03-26-2016 03:24 AM

it was better than age of ultron for sure.

alfred looks like ironman sorta LOL.

it did feel a bit rushed, and too much packed into 2.5 hours. but... yeah.

it would help if i watched superman again.

Spoiler!

keifun 03-26-2016 10:17 AM

Watched a matinee yesterday to avoid the big crowds.
Like others have said, I can see why the critics gave it such a low rating; whereas DC fans would enjoy it.

I thought Affleck was great as Bruce Wayne. Is he still going to be Batman again for the future Justice League films?

Ulic Qel-Droma 03-26-2016 10:27 AM

yeah affleck was a good batman

and they pulled off wonder woman pretty well, i thought she'd be stupid, but ... i was wrong.

it was also the most violent version of batman's character on screen to date lol.

he probably killed more people than all of the other dc movies combined hahaha...

DragonChi 03-26-2016 06:14 PM

I am a DC fan. Didn't like it at all.
Spoiler!

rice cooker 03-26-2016 06:23 PM

i dont get why ppl over analyze movies like this. it was a good entertaining movie and def worth the money.

solid 8/10

Spoiler!

dlo 03-26-2016 07:25 PM

thats because this movie played in theatre is editting, the directors cut is 34-44 mins longer and is rated R.

SupraTTturbo2jz 03-26-2016 10:00 PM

i loved the movie and so did few of my friends. It was good for fans, and did fairly well coming from comics. Very similar to the dc animated movies where batman wears his lead suit to battle superman controlled by lex luthor as president and also similar to superman vs doomsday

watch some of these movies if you guys enjoy dc. Most of the stories are way better than the real life hero movies

u must watch batman: under the redhood!! potentially might be the story arc they will have for batman

evlee 03-26-2016 10:57 PM

im not a die hard fanboy of these types of comic movies but with my general knowledge i thought it was a great movie.

jonwon 03-27-2016 01:26 AM

Best Original Movie part! This is what the movie should have been like, and what I was expecting. Maybe too much. In this universe they explain that Batman is an aged old man retired after Robin died.

Parts 1 and 2 are on Netflix.

Edit: Definitely going to watch the director's cut!

Tim Budong 03-27-2016 10:44 AM

Ben Affleck does a pretty good job as Batman.

low expectations. so it helped.. movie was alright. as others said, too many holes. Wouldn't mind that directors cut
