What do you consider an "appropriate" age gap when dating? How old are you and S.O.?
 

Hi peeps, conducting for research and also curious myself wondering, how old are you and the person you are dating and what do you consider the age limit for yourselves when dating someone? Is age just a number to you or is it okay as long as they have the mature mindset that is compatible with yours?

I am 27 dating 24 year old.

youngest for men is:
divide by 2, plus 7

oldest for women is:
minus 7, multiply by 2

you're 27 (an idiot 27 at that, shocking how old you are given your retard posts), so divide by 2 is 13 (round to your benefit), plus 7 = 20. you're good

she is 24, minus 7 is 17, times 2 = 34. she's good (by definition, as you're good)

If this was elementary school and you were in grade 4, then you'd be dating a grade 1, or possibly kindergarten! You're a sick, sick man.

It's been a safe rule in my experiences. Everytime you hit the borders of the rule, you know your pushing the creepy man envelope.

I'm 32 and I have dated a 23 year old, I have also dated a 35 year old. When you get to a certain age the age of someone you date doesn't matter. You have to more like focus on the way you connect/get along with them rather then how old they are.

me 35 -> gf 22, her friends call me by the name of "ham sup lo" at first it sounded like they were calling me handsome.. took me awhile to find that out lol.

When I'm 50 I hope to have a 18 year old

i'm 29, my fiance, she is 32. It's all good for us, no problems.

I'm 25 my gf is 35

it'd have to be one hell of a mature 23 year old for me to date them at my current old man age of 31. mind you, i'm 61 in my mind, 31 is just my chronological age, i guess i could find a 23 year old with the mind of a 50 year old - we'd be almost as perfect as me and my better half are (she 29, extremely age appropriate and maturity/life desires and goals appropriate - something that gets way more important as you age)

I dated a 20 and 21 year old when I was 29 and 30, respectively. I also dated a 30 year old when I was 26. Otherwise the rest have all been roughly my own age, +/- 2 years. I know some extremely immature 30 year olds and some very mature early 20's. It just depends on the person. That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to date someone that young again unless it was simply a casual thing.

As for what's acceptable, who cares. So long as you both have a connection and enjoy each other's company, what's the problem? So long as it's within the realms of legality, that is.

Im 29, my wife is 25. We started dating when I was 25 and she was 21. I was immature at the time, so it worked out quite well.
