One + have no SD card slot while Note 4. That's pretty important to me.

Not only that but as my experience with the find 7a the OS have a lot of bugs which cause some apps to not work, or not working right. Also there are limited accessories and quality control is not as good as (people have been reporting there are a yellow tlint on both the One+ and Find 7 and other little things such as third party headset won't work or is very quiet with the Find 7).

The lack of support is another issue. Mostly you get answers from other users and it usually take days for tech support to get back to you.

lol who the hell even bothers contacting tech support?

they're either not that knowledgeable or give the robotic response. Come to think of it... whenever I've had an issue with a phone I'd google the problem and find a solution from other users lol

Mr.HappySilp 09-03-2014 11:34 AM

^^ True but if is an issue with their OS you really have no choice but to contact them.

willystyle 09-03-2014 11:48 AM

^^ If it's a problem with their OS (bugs), you're gonna need to wait months before they come out with an update. Cyanogenmod is days.

So excited... My contract ends on the 15th of this month and I'm just waiting for the note 4 to come out.:woot2:

so true. I'm actually on the line right now with Samsung tech support asking about these galaxy tablet 3's at my work trying to connect to all share to tvs and they cant even answer a simple question. googling is even faster but I want the actual company to confirm for me... lol

No. Google Play Services has been expanded so it can patch more of the actual OS itself. Most issues (unless it's a deep seated problem at the very core of the kernel) can be patched to everyone at the same time regardless of device.

I'm not a fan of Samsung phones, but I'd pay more for a Samsung than try to save money one a One Plus. I have no faith in their ability to be anything more than a niche product. Nor do I have faith in Cyanogenmod to support something as complex as an OS and achieve the same level of quality as you'd get from Google, Apple or MS. It always seems to be "fix one thing here, another problem crops up over there" with those guys.

Will upgrade from my note 2. Looks more refined experience from a note 3. Nevertheless, excited for this to hit stores in canada.

djstyles 09-03-2014 06:21 PM

I wonder when Rogers will have this available. I'm assuming around the same time as the note 3 last year. OIS finally! Yesssss.

asian_XL 09-03-2014 06:39 PM

Aluminium case, leather backcover...does it matter anymore?

who would buy a phone without putting on protective case nowaday?
I guess I can keep my note2 for another year.

ScizzMoney 09-03-2014 07:39 PM

Myself and a lot of people I know don't use cases at all. Mind you, my grandma used to put plastic over her couches. Same shit in my mind.

DavidNguyen 09-03-2014 08:44 PM

Phone cases are like condoms, sure your better protected with one but it definitely feels better without one. I for one am willing to roll the dice [emoji12]

VK79 09-04-2014 12:48 AM

If they make it such that you can edit/customize the widgets in S-View mode, I will most likely get one, else its a side grade to the N3 for me.

The note with the curved edge however....... it is tacky as hell (for now) but somehow I feel the itch to get one.:considered:

My iphone 4 was fine for 2 years without any protection. When I switched to Samshit Note2, the edge started peeling like motherfucker and the backcover all scratched up.
