Looks like a pretty tight course

BoostedBB6 04-01-2016 02:49 PM

That's a hell of a tight technical course. Seems like something more geared towards carting and not full size auto racing.

Manic! 04-01-2016 03:36 PM

It is a tight course but phase 2 will have a 1.2KM straight and should be done in 2 to 3 years. The track has a lot of elevation changes. From turn 7 and 8 you can see most of the track. Sat in the back seat of a Mercedes AMG C63 for 2 laps and drove the car for 2 laps. Didn't go that fast but had a blast. They also had a Alfa romeo 4c and a BMW 4 series.

The club house is real nice with a restaurant and a bar a 2 conference rooms. The control room has 6 TV's some split so they can keep a eye on the track. The cameras can tell the difference between a human, car or a deer. The garage has 2 sunk in lifts so even the lowest cars will have no problems. They will be able to do repairs, wheel alignments, tire changes and will be able to bring in tires the average person cannot get. They will also have a full pro shop.

They are building 400 garages people can rent and they say one member wants to ship 30 cars as soon as they are built.

Safety is a big deal for them and they have lots of run off spaces and 35000 tires. They will also have paramedics on site for track days.

The price for a 25 year membership is $48000 plus $4800 a year. They will guarantee 20 track days a month.

Rumour is GAIN also purchased the Riverside Inn in Lake Cowichan and plan to update it.

It's in a really nice location (right on the river), but it's been neglected for quite some time.

They have a full race logic setup to track all the cars and a private website that will post everyone lap times.

Looks pretty sweet.

I just got back from a week of driving here and the resort was amazing. I'll have videos up soon after I edit them and get their media team to send me what they shot.

Kevbodian 05-20-2016 07:20 PM

My STI was the first STI on that track. Fun.

That track looks pretty sweet minus the trenches, those look deadly.
