Put it in a ziplock, walk up to the teller and tell them to start counting.

If it's more than you can bring to the bank, just buy those plastic thing at staples and some coin rollers and do it yourself. so easy.
I did this with $3000 worth of coins. Had to drag the bag to the bank because the shoulder strap broke.

I bank with TD and for the past 8 years they've been giving it to me for free. Not sure about other banks but I assume if you're a customer they would just give it to you as well.

I saw a thread on Reddit a while back that many banks started to pull their coin counting machines because of inaccurate counts. Too many customers were complaining as the machine count didn't match their own count.

Yep, TD removed them in June because.... Quote:
A Canadian class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of people who have allegedly been short-changed by TD Bank coin-counting machines over a three-year period.

Vancity has counting machines at certain branches.
TD was the best one IMO, it literally shows you how many of each coin.
If you separated the coins and do it invidually, pretty hard to short change you.

The vancity machine also shows you the #s of coins by denomination on a screen. Whether it's 100% correct or not, who knows. That's the risk you take I guess by relying on a machine to count instead of counting by hand.
Too bad the casino doesn't take coins anymore, I'd bet their machines were the most accurate.

Just roll it up and bring it in.
I once brought a full plastic Coca-Cola container to TD Oakridge. Spent almost an hour there dumping the coins in.
No I did not pre-count so I have no idea if it's accurate, but it was over a grand in coins lol. The bottle actually broke so I had to half carry it in with a double garbage bag
I want another but I got it in Vegas...
