Not sure if you go that way at all, but Harbor Freight has ones that go that high. Bellingham is the closest one. If you decide to go, call them, to see if they have them in stock.

They have one that goes from 3-1/4 to 24-1/4 inches. 3 ton dual. Probably weighs a ton, too.

There's one on sale for $80 this month, otherwise there's a coupon on their site for 20% off any regularly priced item, this weekend.

Go on their site and scroll through the first page.

Any Bosch 18V users?

On the fence about buying this. 18V Core 6.3 battery for $122 on Amazon.ca
Camel shows it's the lowest price for the battery so far.

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N6VIHUR/...v_ov_lig_dp_it

I have a Bosch 18V impact that is rated up to 1650 inch lbs, which is like 137ft lbs.
I'm using it with 1.5Ah packs which came with my Bosch drill. The thing really struggles to remove my lugs torqued at 80 ft lbs. Considering getting this 6.3 battery to see if it would help. Then again, I don't really take off my lugs often enough to justify the purchase.

Saw this too late but hope comment is useful. Yes, my impact driver (Bosch 18V) does seem to have a difference in power using a 2Ah vs a 4Ah battery, not sure about the 6.3Ah, but it still doesn't do lug nuts very well because it can't overcome the stiction/initial torque to break the nut loose especially after shop visits. What I usually do is to use a 24-inch breaker bar to break the nut loose (usually less than a half turn) to help the driver, before I jack the car up. It's also kinder to your lug nuts in the long run, especially if you have lock nuts as the keys can't take impact wrench/driver beating and will deform or break. I just use the driver to spin the nuts off the rest of the way once I have the car up in the air, and to spin them back on after I swap the wheels. I tighten with a torque wrench the rest of the way.

You mean that store that sells useless, overpriced items to yuppies? I can't recall which RS member said that, but it has stuck on my mind like cold pancakes at IHOP. Gulolol.

Can't wait for Cyber Monday. Get them gift cards at 15% off.

Yeah, Snap On digital torque wrench.

j/k.......... mine just sits in the tool cabinet looking pretty.

Best bang for buck is the Pittsburgh Torque Wrench from Harbor Freight. Flip socket from there, too. Princess Auto has them on sale, too.

Check this link, lol.

"Tool Junkie"............ yeah, I'm that.

Anyone need some cordless tools. This is a pretty good deal. Ryobi makes some good stuff and has a ton of compatible tools.

Just an FYI, Princess Auto is doing free shipping right now. Social distancing aside, it's a great way to ensure you get items that are usually sold out right away.

My trusty Craftsman torque wrench from over 50 years ago, finally died (I didn't treat her well). Anyway, I ordered a 1503MFRMH.

Hopefully this will last as long as the Craftsman did. Craftsman no longer make tools like they used to.

Man, I remember driving to their original store in Winnipeg (part of my cross continent, bucket list, road trip). No longer around, but their replacement store...... holy carp, it's big.

My friend was telling me about that place, he goes there all the time. Does anyone know if the Milwaukee service centre near Byrne have any deals on tools?

I was in Coquitlam BC Princess Auto, they had a 1.5ton super high lift truck jack and a more standard low profile 2ton on clearance. Regular $299 each priced at $100 each. My buddy picked up a 2 ton.

these ones,

I bought 2 pack live animal traps for $10, bargain.

I love step drills. I have a three piece set from Milwaukee, as well as, one of their larger size, step drill bits. I was fabricating an aluminum fence post mender and needed to drill holes into it. I grabbed my favourite impact drill/driver with 1/4 inch hex head. When I reached for the step drill bits, I realized they weren't hex shank. Damn. So, I searched for hex shank step drill bits. Found a three piece kit on sale at KMS Tools. Great. I searched Home Depot to see if they had the same kit to get a price match/beat deal, lol. Turns out they have the same kit for way less (at regular price). Anyway, the bits are Made in the US. Not that cheap foreign crap. Oh, BTW, I have a set of Norseman drill bits that are made in the US and man o' man, there's nothing like quality tools. It's an investment. No disappointments - performance and reliability. Worth every cent (penny is amurican currency).

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/mil...ce-/1001183729

Also, as a side note. Although the cuts are super clean with step bits when it comes to drilling into sheet metal and whatnot, there is a big drawback. Step bits are useless when you need to drill larger size holes when there isn't much room behind where you are drilling. The height of the steps is also important. Having to do with thickness of material. Other than those two drawbacks, one bit to drill various sized holes is a positive. Did I mention clean cuts? No burrs to deal with. Again, buy a cheapo bit and you're wasting your money.

If you have anything Craftsman that needs warranty/replacement, the deWalt place is where you go. They honour the Craftsman warranty. You'll get a Stanley or something else instead, but it's better than a useless tool that sits on the shelf gathering sawdust and metal filings.

As for the Milwaukee candy store on Byrne, it doesn't do sales. They have replacement parts and accessories. Stuff you can't get in stores. For example, I have a couple of Packout sets. The larger sections come with one tool tray, but has room for two. Well, the service centre carries the trays. 7 bucks each, iirc. I also purchased extra drill bit holders for my various drills. They were like a buck or two. Complete with screws. I have bit holders on both sides now (just above battery and below grip).

They do carry some refurbished stuff and they do have a sale one them once, maybe twice a year? I haven't seen the refurbished stuff in quite a while. Maybe not worth their time and effort is my guess. Floor to ceiling with nothing but Milwaukee goodness, hence the Milwaukee "Candy Store" reference.

Now that I've posted this, I need to go again. Just to get my fill of that red, Gulolol. Yellow is not my favourite colour. And that pukey light blue..... nuff said. We all have our preferences. god bless.........
