I remember there used to be an independently-owned shop out in Chinatown that sold freshly made tofu, tofu pudding, and soy milk, but I'm not sure if it's still around anymore. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you're up for the Filipino version of it, there's Oh Taho! on Fraser St. I think.

Unless you're specifically looking for the pudding made from scratch with soybeans, there's a really easy way to make it.
Soy Milk
- Unsweetened works best as you can add sugar to your own liking. Sweetened isn't overly sweet and you don't have to bother with adding the sugar later
Gypsum Powder 石膏粉
-can be found in any Chinese medicine store. T&T should have it too. Just mention to someone you want to make tofu pudding and they'll give you the right thing
Boil soy milk, pour into container with the powder, stir a bit, get rid of bubbles, and let it chill. Put in fridge after it has cooled down. For sweetening, rock sugar works great, but sugar + hot water to melt it works fine.
