Alarm Clocks... sooooo what alarm clocks do u guys use? how do you set yours? and what features do they have? the iphone sucks for alarm. i'm trying to find something that has: -multiple alarm times -custom snooze for each time (up to 45-60minute per snooze, yes that long) -custom sound import mp3 -rising sound levels so it starts reallyreally low and slowly over many repeats, gets louder (over many cycles of the mp3). i remember my old blackberry has something like that... but not custom snooze. are there any actual alarm clocks or... programs or.. anything that sounds like that? I guess people that wake up right on queue need not reply LOL. |
Sleep cycle = wakes you up when you're in your lightest sleep. Works really well IMO but kills battery so your phone has to be plugged in Droid alarm = makes me answer some mathematical question or similar before it'll snooze -- really good alarm but not as good as sleep cycle IMO I like sleep cycle because I wake up refreshed + I'm less likely to hit the snooze. Sometimes I'm so lazy that I will actually solve the puzzle / answer the math question 10-15 times and just keep snoozing |
I use Timely, and it's rather decent. My friend made an alarm clock app, where if you hit snooze it automatically sends a text message along the lines of "i'm lazy and hit the snooze button", to a random person in your contacts lol. Unfortunately it's only available in Korea I think. There was also a concept where everytime you hit snooze it makes a donation on your behalf to some charity haha Then there are these: Want a Crazy Alarm Clock -The Best Novelty Alarm Clocks | Campus Squeeze |

I usually set 3 alarm 10mins apart. Usually I am awake on the first alarm. To be honest I usually wake up when it is time for work so I guess I have good internal clock? |
Alarms are for noobs. Just get up when you need to. The only time I need an alarm is New Years day to witness my father's polar bear swim @ English Bay. |
Just buy a cheap android phone and use that for an alarm. |
Using a note 3 standard alarm; found ring tone through zedge app. Personally love the chrono trigger's "fragments of a dream" as my alarm. The soothing melody both relaxes and invigorates me even for those really early mornings :) |
I have a jawbone up and it's fantastic. Wakes me up at light sleep cycle. |
Alarm clock plus for android has all that you listed. I dont have iOS, but there has to be something similar out there for it. I would try this if there is a trial version https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/alar...ign-mpt=uo%3D4 |

Could be useful for something else too... |
use my phone, if i dont have to get up the next day and set an alarm i somehow find a way to shut it off without noticing ;) but if i have to wake up i'll usually wake up before the alarm goes :/ try setting multiple times on your phone and place it across your room? |
lol, i want the customization for other reasons (lucid dreaming). no alarm clock can truly get me outta bed. but having it fade in with a custom mp3 would be nice. |
been using the same alarm clock for the past 20 something years, its loud, annoying & classic, yet i still cant get out of bed lol i have like 3 alarm clocks & 2 phones setup with the most annoying sounds ever to get me out of bed, still cant get up most of the time |
