Finally got robusta beans!!
Got it from a viet coffee shop at Bay & Wellesley.
The worst thing about this, is my grinder still has half a hopper full of that toxic filth that is McDonald's dark roast espresso bean. Getting through it has been a... grind.

I find pure robusta beans on its own pretty one-dimensional. Unless you're after that flavour, I would recommend against it.

He's too ashamed to say he's in the GTA.
I think there are at least four of us in the GTA, if I'm not mistaken.

theres enough of your torontoototoonians to reach RS critical mass. i suggest you have a meat, take photos, and YOU BETTER NOT FUCKING HAVE ANY BEETLES THERE.
ya'll need to find a Toronto version of facetroll and have him hide in the bushes ala our facetroll. he also needs to constantly chirp about how expensive a used golf R and then proceed to pay 63k MSRP for a new one.

Hell yes, the hopper's empty!!
Next up, this Kicking Horse coffee I picked up on sale at Walmart:
Like campfire and cherry. Good enough I didn't even add milk and just drank it black as an espresso, and then an americano. Definitely getting fruit from this. Pretty good!

If you want to make a batch - that sounds like cold brew. Look up cold brew immersion brewing.
Espresso/regular drip won't keep very well. They get acidic/sour.

I use my Braun drip coffee maker to make batches of cold brew. It has a cold brew function so it has a fixed ratio and you add your ice accordingly when you need to consume it.
Agreed on espresso - doesn't keep well and should be consumed near immediately.

I made it to the bag of robusta.
It's like drinking liquified coffee candy! Amazing, utter perfection.

It's on sale till November, so I'll pick up a bag sometime this week. | I actually saw this stuff and remembered this post in the thread. So I checked it out and it makes a pretty good Vietnamese ice coffee! I think it's like 80% Robusta

FYI, this was a great japanese movement.
They wanted to create coffee culture in japan. Good luck right? esp when it's all tea.
Well they started to create these candy and drove the next generation to taste of coffee.
Haven't fact checked cause no one would admit to it but not a bad theory.
