Woman misses B.C. ferry, epic meltdown

Woman misses B.C. ferry, epic meltdown goes viral | CTV News

"You have no feeling for people" LoL

That woman's straight up crazy, she was clearly late.

There were a couple times where I just about lost it at the terminal..

Once when one of the self-serve machines ate my money twice (charged me but never printed a ticket), and the person behind the counter was clueless and disinterested in helping, leaving me in limbo on if/how I would ever get my money back.
(FYI, if that happens the only way to get your money back is to write a letter to BC Ferries accounting department with a copy of your visa statement showing the charges and pleading your case. It took nearly 3 weeks to get my money back)

Once one Christmas eve morning they had not opened a separate booth for reservations. I was reserved for the 11:00, I arrived at the terminal at 10:15, but due to the lack of separate lane the ticket lineup was so long that I ended up going through the booth at 10:32 so they stuck me in general boarding.
The stupid cunt in the booth with was like "That's TOO bad, you're late" to which I'm like "I was fucking here at quarter after 10, you were too stupid to realize that it would be so busy that you would have needed a dedicated reservation lane, which made me late (who would have fucking guessed it would be busy on CHRISTMAS EVE RIGHT?!?).

That was the last time I ever bought a reservation.

She's nucking futz, who does that? My 8 year old wouldn't even attempt that, what a child.

Hopefully all her friends, family and co-workers see the video and recognize her.

meme405 01-20-2015 01:03 PM

This also happened a while back:

http://www.revscene.net/forums/68576...erry-fare.html

This will likely end up just like that.

multicartual 01-20-2015 01:56 PM

Fuck you people for reposting this woman's mental distress.

Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.

I pray for the day ISIS members behead Canadian "journalists", perhaps then some integrity will be returned to the profession.

Now let's gather around and point at this woman's misfortune.

Not only that, but CTV, CBC, and the rest of the fucking MEDIA WHORE CUNTS line up to hold out this teet for all of the lowest-common-denominator proles with no empathy to gleefully suckle on. The Reddit comments on this are just disgusting.

Look at her anguish! JUST LOOK! THEN CLICK OUR FUCKING ADS.

I bet muslim extremists would have more sympathy and kindness to show for this woman than 99.9% of westerners who love to abuse each other, put each other down, point at laugh at people to feel better about themselves.

Usually I find you to be one of the most entertaining trolls on Revscene.

I don’t think is funny or entertaining.

Video of woman's tantrum at Tsawwassen BC Ferries terminal goes viral - British Columbia - CBC News

The media is poison and deserves our contempt

Manic! 01-20-2015 02:31 PM

Just after Christmas we where going to Vancouver taking the Tsawwassen ferry. There was a sailing wait so my Dad pays extra and uses his assured loading pass.

http://viphotobooth.smugmug.com/Othe...IMG_9968-L.jpg

Does that look like a full ferry to anyone? This is the type of stuff that pisses me off. Cars where left behind others paid extra to get on but the ferry left not full.

The amount of Troll you're bringing in here isn't lost on me kind sir.

StylinRed 01-20-2015 02:39 PM

I am always the first person to tell everyone that even though I sell porn online for a living, I believe it to be a mentally oppressive form of visual media. I actually hired a full time employee who looks at it for me so I don't have to. Believe me, I'm working on more books and Forex trading so I can get out of the business. Seeing porn makes me want to vomit.

Pornography warps and distorts your views in such a subtle manner, it is similar to the frog-in-the-pot, turn the heat up slow and it won't notice until it is too late. Pornstar women have Amazon wish lists so for married men who fall "in love" and obsess over them can send gifts their wives won't notice for a hint of their attention.

The media influences us in ways that are subtle to most, overt to others. I'll stop short of calling it mind control but media is pervasive in our lives and pop culture is nearly inescapable. Those in control of what gets broadcasted, what artists get promoted do absolutely, positively collude to influence public opinion.

#GamerGate on Twitter is a great example that reveals just how much collusion there is in the media and how little ethics are actually involved.

To broadcast this woman's breakdown moment as a "must watch" is absolutely fucking sickening for a publicly-funded company.

I'm going to side with Captain Porno, news media outlets are pure shit.

CNN is basically a tabloid now, enabled by all the click-happy dullards who just have to know why "this guy broke up with his beautiful girlfriend, but you won't believe why..." Etc.

Not going to lie I think most of your posts are retarded but if what you're saying here is true I'll give you props for some proactive forethought and action regarding that issue.

Habboy 01-20-2015 03:12 PM

Man, 3 minutes late, what a bummer

carisear 01-20-2015 03:23 PM

I think it's great someone filmed it, and it's gaining wide attention. This is a prime example to teach people how NOT to act in public.

It also has a lesson in what happens when you don't have time integrity.

Jmac 01-20-2015 03:31 PM

I used to work in Duncan, live in Burnaby, so I was back and forth pretty often and, as such, was a few minutes late on occassion.

I was told every time that I was too late, but after nicely asking if they could get me on, they obliged each time (both with vehicle and on foot).

Generally speaking, people in the service industry are more willing to bend the rules if you're nice about it. If you throw a fit, you're less likely to get your way until it hits management or head office.

GS8 01-20-2015 03:38 PM

I'm not an expert on behaviour but it sounds like she was already having a bad day and this was her breaking point.

Not exactly uncommon. I don't find it funny either.

There is no integrity in corporate-backed journalism.

MG1 01-20-2015 04:12 PM

I felt sorry for her........

Some would have just crumbled and sobbed uncontrollably, while others would have smashed their fist through a wall. Obviously, catching the ferry was pretty important for her. Like someone else said, it could have been the last straw and she just lost it. Shit happened that kept her from getting there on time. Making fun of someone's suffering is not cool. In my younger days I would have laughed at it.

The media is heartless. They love telling stories with a gleam in their eye, and they're always hoping to get people to react. I hate the fucking media. They're the pimps of the world.

Anyway, she is going to be identified, if not already, and the bullying and negative comments will continue for a while. Embarrassing for her and she should have known better, but it happened. Time to move on.............

asian_XL 01-20-2015 04:53 PM

A... thoughtful and intelligent post from jason 2000? :suspicious:

SkunkWorks 01-20-2015 05:45 PM

Actually agree with Jason for once. That video made me, above all else, feel pretty sad for her.

We've all been there, one of those shitty days. And to now have that published all over publicly-funded media as a top story? Fuck. That.

Just to be clear: the meltdown itself is hardly a "top story" by any new outlet's standards. The fact that it blew up all over social media is what MAKES it a "top story".

Something of a chicken-and-egg situation, but BLAMING "the media" for it is misguided at best.

And yeah, I've had those days too... that's not the story, though. A grown woman behaving like a four-year-old throwing a tantrum is the whole point.

Edit:

The 30-second video was posted around noon on Monday, and has been viewed more than 406,000 times since. It also has more than 1,750 comments, and has been shared more than 4,900 times.

...

Pavitar Sidhu, who runs Spotted in Victoria, told CTV News that the video was filmed on New Year’s Eve.
That's 406,000 views and almost 5,000 shares as of the time this article was posted early this afternoon... in barely 24 hours... BEFORE "the evil poison media" started talking about it.
