Well it's not really like that, I do want my money. I just wanted to ask the RS community if there was any alternative (better) way to deal with this rather than take the long and tedious small claims route. Better yet I was hoping someone here might know him personally and told him to man the fuck up. RS is a big community and Vancouver is city afterall.

A thought I had would be messaging all his friends on FB exposing him and maybe forcing him to pay. Is that wise?

i would just serve him in-person or via registered mail first. What happened to the recent texts?

Do the right thing, just file the claim and let the it go through the system as long as it may be. Then continue to bug the guy day in day out until he gives it back.

I have no idea why the OP would tell the scammer he is going to file a claim. It is always way easier to do it without other party knowing it.
