Breaking news:

40% of the entire Internet's traffic right now is originating from Timpo's computer as he feverishly looks for exhaust videos and pictures of cars with fancy exhausts (bonus points for nailed on overfenders)

More to follow, in the form of replies to this post from Timpo himself.

Novel Japans exhaust for the RCF

No aftermarket headers yet but they say they're coming out with one

Mazda 26B with its usual lumpiness

But if we're talking about stock, modern non-exotic vehicles, having driven the new Abarth several times in the past, I'd have to say it's hands-down the best sounding stock exhaust of any new vehicle, maybe only rivaled by the F-Type. Seriously, the Abarth exhaust is all sorts of insane and it's very loud, with its pops bangs and crackles, it's really something else, especially since it's a straight pipe setup from factory

The Abarth is the car I almost got, just for its exhaust it's such an impractical, tiny vehicle, but I was absolutely mesmerized and in love with its exhaust that I was so close to dropping my money down on one. It's just that good!

Hard to beat in terms of sound and not hard to make a C63 sound like this.

No bias but the E60 M5 +1.

A E39 M5 with a proper exhaust sounds better though...

The E60 M5 with any exhaust just becomes far too loud, I had race cats, straight piped to RPI mufflers. Although in the car it didnt drone and bother me, people on the sidewalk would hold ears as I went by so I had to quiet it down. No video online can demonstrate just how loud it actually is...

And an RB26 with a screamer pipe also sounds fantastic.

i love it when ferraris have their active exhaust valve open up at around 3000rpm.

skip to 3/4ths of the clip.

This is not affordable at all but a Carrera GT with straight pipes =

And for the F-Type id probably want the V6 S rather than the V8. Sounds so much more F1 esque.

I love the way the pre 2000s ferraris sound. Its like a sport bike with 4-5x the displacement. Those and 70's porsches marble mobiles take the cake for me.
