I've owned 4 Chrysler minivans and still own one... they are INDESTRUCTIBLE!!! https://i.ibb.co/8L6Gjhjc/turbovan.jpg https://i.ibb.co/5hzkDQ5J/van.jpg https://i.ibb.co/4ZnfcFWS/van3.jpg The black and the white vans are both manual transmissions. Still have the white manual van with the daisy wheels. |
Who's still on a waitlist for a minivan? What's stock like these days on new or lightly used? Out of the four (sienna, odyssey, carnival, Pacifica) how would you rank them? |
just get an alphard! |
|
exactly! most comfortable, best bang for the buck and reliable (if you get the 2GRFSE v6) with tons of parts available. You can easily kit them out on aliexpress and throw in a ton of interesting homely mods (side currtains, VIP tables, LED's, different screens, etc etc) remove the back seats and you got a huge cargo hauler too. |
You just want to see him die in a side-impact by some lady gunning it north at Slocan and E. 22nd... |
Those are only $15k?!?!?! I was gonna go for a Lexus if anything ever happened to my wifes Rav but that's a lot of space and comfort for that price. |
If shit hits the fan and you become homeless you can live in it too :notbad: |

Next year you can start importing the facelift alphard with the hybrid engine so might be worthwhile |

Odyssey if you care about driving (but it's a minivan) Carnival for looks :heckno: Stellantis |

He’s just a Honda fan boy. |
Does the Odyssey still have transmission problems? |

All new Odysseys being sold now -- regardless of trim levels -- are equipped with the 10 speed tranny. So if someone is getting a new car, it should be OK. |
Honda and their lame ass automatics failing…. What is this a dodge product ?!? |
Would rather get side impact smashed in an Alphard. |

#2 The selfish option: odyssey drives fucking great & that 10 speed hustles. If you’re a highway driver in most of the US where gas is cheap, this is better than Sienna. #3 Sienna. Hate driving it - engine drones, the response sucks, it’s really shit. It’s cheap to run, has auto steer, is reliable, so relatively brainless if you don’t need to move shit in the car. #4 ID buzz: it’s small but vibey. Getting really cheap with 20k dealer incentive + 8k EV rebate tho. My boss looked at one and said it wasn’t big enough for two kids and a pet. Carnival: why? You get a 1.6T DCT and a battery from Hyundai of all brands …. |
new bus is as short as mid-size SUV but it's YUGE inside, legroom for days (and the dash is oddly long, probably for crumple structure) |

Sienna if you do mostly city driving but higher MSRP and toyota dealer availability games Odyssey if you do road trips frequently but it's due for a redesign Carnival if you like gadgets and modern design but untried hybrid turbo system Pacifica has a decent pentastar V6 and the nifty stow n go but chrysler issues |

At least the 62TE was mostly predictable and kicks down fairly quick. ZF9 has two dog clutches so it takes like 1.5 seconds and two kickdowns to get you ready for passing. |
Quote:
- The radios glitch out with no real fix - Pentastar and ZF9 both still blow up - The adaptive cruise makes horrible grinding noises - AC condensers and actuators This is the kind of car you buy at a massive discount, abuse the capabilities of and sell once the warranty's up |
