Just deporting her stupid ass is too easy on her, she should have served far more time and then been given the boot.

im not an immigration expert but i remember reading about this guy who wasn't a citizen and got convicted of a trafficking charge. I think the article said to get deported, the sentence has to be a year or longer?? Anyone know anything about this?

It was some Indian dude involved in a street racing accident that ended up killing a middle aged women. I think the court only awarded a house arrest or some other ridiculously light sentence on the guy, and he was even allowed to go to school or work (or something along those lines). But then the public uproar continued on, and the immigration department found some legal ground to deport his a$$ back to India since he was only a permanent resident, but not a full fledged Canadian citizen yet.

I'm all going off on memory here, and if my Google search skills don't suck as much as they did, I would have googled up something more useful.
