In all seriousness.... this punishment was way too lenient. Abusing an infant child, especially in a premeditated way and for these culturally backward reasons, is seriously messed up. I hope this bitch gets some good old-fashioned "prison justice"; I imagine convicts don't take too nicely to child abuse...

is it offside to suggest that this person, if not a canadian citizen, should be deported so she can practice her crackerjack ways in a place where it is more in line with cultural norms (not saying in china that this is cool, but you should know what i mean)? I don't see why immigrants who have proven themselves to be immoral, dangerous, and a burden on our society shouldn't have citizenship revoked. We don't allow criminals to enter our country (in theory) so why should we allow them to stay? Truthfully though, someone with such malice and hatred behind their actions I would support putting a bullet in their head long before I think any country should have to deal with them.

As a new father of a 9 week old, if anyone did this to my child, the RCMP would need to charge me with assault after the I beat the living shit out of the perpetrator, family or otherwise.

4 months is not enough for premeditated attempt at mutilating a baby, and she's out of prison already dafuq. she should also lose custody of her kids. in this case wouldn't mind her photo being published as a PSA. as a parent i wouldn't want my kids near her. plus her being chinese the public shaming/losing face would be an added bonus.

4 months is wei too short a sentence for this crime.

In the article, they mention that she's a Chinese National - does that mean she's a PR or she's a Canadian Citizen?

If she's not a citizen - I'd rather they just revoke anything she has and just deport her. I wouldn't even want to waste money having her in jail here.
