I used not join my work pools, until I started my finance job. Didn't want to be the only one left on my team, opening up and managing their new accounts with their winnings.

-entered into two office pools today. One pool is for the $32 million Lotto Max and the other pool is for the $35 million Lotto 649 draw.
Colleagues and I joked about having a secret meeting like those twelve people in Brampton, Ontario if we won either lottery.
I'm hoping that the office is really empty next week.
The group release agreement allows people to pay a half share or full share of either jackpot.
I told my colleague "half share of the Max or 649? It won't be enough money because living in Vancouver is expensive".
I paid a full share for each lottery ($3 for 649 and $5 for the Lotto Max).

The government pulled in $1.17 billion last year after prize payouts and expenses, most of which goes towards healthcare and education...
