Is it just me or does their seem to be a real sense of comradery within the team?

Lmao I remember reading a CDC thread 5ish years back where several members projected Hodgson, Schroeder, and Shirokov as 80+ point scorers

I actually see these numbers being realistic as combined numbers

:lol

I remember the days when Shirokov was the next coming of Pavel Bure.

30 Thoughts: Power struggle over the coach's challenge - Sportsnet.ca

seems like he's attracting some attention over in Europe.
Canucks apparently still has his rights but he's signed with Brynas for 3 more years.
24pts in 16GP so far this year for him

Should the Canucks Bring Back Anton Rödin? | CanucksArmy

spideyv2 11-03-2015 02:50 PM

^haha I googled him after my post and saw that he's been having relative success in Europe

murd0c 11-03-2015 02:57 PM

at least we still have his rights

Really? I admit that this group is more likeable than I thought they would be, mostly due to the presence of a bunch of rookies and hope...but camaraderie?

Not sure I feel that with this group. In 2011, you had a whole bunch of Canucks that have been Canucks for a long time as well as a few more that were either from the area (Malhotra, Hamhuis) or were just instantly likeable because they were the underdog 4th liners that no one had heard of (Tanner Glass, Tambellini, Oreo, Maximum Lapdance)

This current group of Canucks are...different. Gone are the core guys that we thought would be lifers like Bieksa and Kesler and now we have short term solutions like Ryan Miller and new guys that we don't really have ties to like Brandon Sutter and Radim Vrbata. That's sort of unfair because Miller and Vrbata have made significant contributions to the team but this team doesn't seem as close or as close to the city because they didn't grow in the system.

Feels more segregated than years past

Mike Oxbig 11-03-2015 03:53 PM

Lmao I remember scouts said Hodgson was a poor man Stamkos minus the speed :joy:

Rexall ice claims another victim.

And, with the first overall pick, from the Zurich Lions, the Edmonton Oilers select ...

Update: Broken collarbone for McDavid. Rough timeline for return from that type of injury is 2-4 months.

Not really racist! 11-03-2015 10:02 PM

So who bet on McDavid to be ROY or had some sort of points bet

trancehead 11-03-2015 10:02 PM

lol. Kind of offtopic (because there are other factors for the falling) but For a place that has cold fucking weather like Edmonton, youd expect them to have ice thats not so easily shit

Mike Oxbig 11-03-2015 10:52 PM

edmonton curse continue... tank for matthews

murd0c 11-04-2015 07:10 AM

Kane was back in 7 weeks last year but with McDavid being so much younger they sure aint going to rush him like with what happened to Kane.
