:lawl: Canucks new phrase shouldn't be we need to get younger. Should be, we need to get more inexperienced. |

Marty St. Louis won me my first hockey pool. Drafted him in the 8th round. Everyone was like WTF who is that guy? He had like 30 points in 50 games the year before. He was puny. It was a long shot, dark horse. 2003-04. Goes HAM. Wins the Hart, Art Ross, Pearson, and a Cup. |
And the hockey pool conversations begin :troll: |

Our saviour in net! Canucks invited 6-foot-9 goalie John McLean to prospects camp https://i.imgur.com/pyuBVhp.jpg |
So... Like... Does he do Hasek or CuJo style saves? Because that would be AMAZING. |
|
NCAA Division III :heckno: |
Can this John McLean make saves like Kirk McLean? :troll: Best save ever by a Canucks goalie! |
Wow due to his height, John McLean makes the net look small! |
Why would we want a goalie that tall? Seems like it would be a bit of a detriment if anything past a certain height. |
Average stats, DivIII, and overly tall to be quick. |
forehand backhand five hole that 6'9 goalie all day lol |

Tall goalies do have an advantage. Size can compensate for mistakes, and height allows you to play deeper in the net, but you still need skill to play the game well. I guess this guy is just very mediocre to be that big and not good. |
