Offseason training to turn a guy around never seemed to pan out.
Look at Kassian... Can't remember the other guys off the top of my head, cause they obviously didn't make a difference.
But they always say so and so is training hard in specific areas, look out for beast mode next season.

Now all we need is a photo of said player in mid action training to surely convince us he's going to be said impact player in the upcoming season.
