When I was 11 I would have loved to battle those Ironman figures against my G.I. Joes. Cars are adult's hobby, however adults do make 1/24 plastic scale models too.
When you don't have money, I can kind of see why Hot Wheels could be an alternative because it makes financial sense than 1/18 die cast models.
Here's the big difference.
Hot wheels are, ultimately, cars.
If you collect Hot Wheels, you do so because you like cars.
