I ASSumed it's in reference to commercial vs. residential but the wording is terribly vague.

Contact the Strata of the building. Most will not allow it if there are water restrictions. In fact, I have heard that they have been shutting off the lines to the wash places in buildings because of this.

Yesterday night I was wiping off my wheels using quik detailer in my parking spot, and some bitch walked out and told me I can't be washing my car.

I tried to explain to her that I was not using any water, there wasn't even a hose anywhere near my location. I literally just had a spray bottle and a microfiber cloth. She wasn't having any of that though, she kept telling me that car washing was banned.

If I wasn't worried about her fucking with my car I would have told her to fuck a hat. Instead I listened to that bullshit for almost 5 minutes while cleaning my wheels, then walked away.

GLOW 07-23-2015 10:44 AM

shoulda used armorall or said you were spit shining and it's a bottle of spit. offer to spray her if she didn't believe you :troll:

Those type of people really piss me off. I'm glad that she is concerned about the water restriction, but refusing to listen to your reasoning is just mind boggling.

Two nights ago I was coming home to my town house complex where I live and this was around 12:30am-1am. Some bitch was washing her car in the darkness.... my car is dirty as fuck and she got the nerve to come out at night and sneak wash her car in the corner of the complex. Came to a stop, honked the bitch and told her she can't be washing her car

smoothie. 07-23-2015 01:34 PM

Gerbs 07-23-2015 01:57 PM

Sounds exactly like the type of people who become some religious fanatic.

yray 07-24-2015 07:16 AM

I washed my windows last night cuz birdshit was blocking my view.... I could've just washed my whole car :fuckthatshit:

falcon 07-24-2015 04:09 PM

Maybe instead of trying to figure out how to get away with washing your car, don't. Think about WHY the ban is in place and stop being so small minded. Sure I know we're all car enthusiasts here and like our cars clean. Me included, but if it's STAGE 3 then there is an issue with water supply. Just abide by the rules and deal with it.

twitchyzero 07-24-2015 04:23 PM

won't somebody think about the paint and dried bird droppings with gravel?

it's raining outside, just wash your car in the rain? lol

This. If you REALLY want to wash your car, go to a DIY place and bring your own sponge. Lots of car wash garages recycle their water, so the amount of water loss can be relatively minimal.

falcon 07-25-2015 02:44 PM

The waterless stuff works pretty good too. I've used it before, back when we had the ban a number of years ago.

bartone 07-27-2015 11:18 AM

saw my neighbor from the mainland hosing down her driveway for over an hour.... :rukidding:
i dont speak mandarin and she doesnt speak english. so its pretty damn hard to tell her there is a water restriction in place.

Call the city and let them do the talking :troll:

melloman 07-27-2015 12:52 PM

Day #6, neighbour this morning had auto-mated sprinklers going at 7am on the nose.
Wonder when the city will come by... already called and haven't seen shit.

--------------------

On another note: Our reservoirs are not low, they are only considered low when in comparison to other years.
The media doesn't know, and the government isn't going to talk about it.. But with all the underground reservoirs we have, and the new systems to pump water from 1 reservoir to another, we will never be in a "serious problem" with water.

We on this board understand that we need to conserve water, but there are so many people that just don't give a fuck, and those people ruin it for everyone. Thus the restrictions have to be put in place as a scare tactic.

so how many do we have?

for those that are ruining it for others - not saying when, but fines in some cities will be doubling pretty soon since people just don't seem to get the idea that water ban = stop wasting water

SumAznGuy 07-27-2015 08:08 PM

Is there a level higher than stage 3 water restrictions?
My wife jokingly always says "if it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush her down"
She heard it from an old elementary school teacher who said it was a common rhyme from when they were living in California.

MG1 07-27-2015 08:15 PM

Level four or stage four is next.

GLOW 07-27-2015 09:18 PM

yo das a whole...nutha...level...
