Still waiting for rays to produce the TE37 SL in +32 offset or +27 offset.

Iron Chef 11-30-2016 05:05 AM

Turning 40 next year and my goal of a GT3 as a bday present to myself has gone out the window since prices have gone up so much.
So next best thing is a 300 whp ITR.
Actually, cable shifters aren't that bad. Once I get the shitvic back on the road next spring, you can take it for a drive.

996 GT3s are still somewhat resasonable....you won't regret it. As nice, rare, and kool ITRs are, it is on a different level of performance Vs any GT3......

I saw that yesterday. Strongly considering it.

I'll buy one for me in your honor :troll:

Edit: 16x8 +42 DOES NOT fit an Integra - not unless you want to violate your fenders anyway.

white rocket 11-30-2016 02:03 PM

MF10 pre-order was filled within minutes apparently. Saved me close to $4k so that's a bonus. They will fit as long as you are not lowered or only minorly like OEM springs/Koni yellows on the lower perch. I still prefer x7 +42 and maybe +35.

I bet 10% of the people who ordered will never put them on a car, just looking to flip.

loong 11-30-2016 02:48 PM

Just like the people who bought a GT4...

Iron Chef 11-30-2016 06:05 PM

I bet people are selling their "spot" in line just to buy them. $2700USD for brand new 16x8 MF10's is a bargain considering that used 16x7's are selling for close to the same right now. A wheel I've always wanted but still waiting on a set of 1st gen TE37 five spokes so funds are reserved for those if they pop up.

What? They came 5 spokes? I've never seen that before.
Damn, they must be rarer than a complete set of 13x8 TE37's.

Just googled them. Wow. They only came in 16x7.

YES!!! So killer. My favorite monoblock. Past on a set years ago and have regreted it ever since. I've seen them in x7 and x8 and a few different offsets for each. Peep Chris Wong or DB8 Motorsports on FB. He's a wheel seller and gets all sorts of cool and obscure stuff.

Yeah, I've been following him on Instagram; the obscure stuff is awesome. Too bad he's across the Pacific... shipping for wheels and seats must cost a ton. Actually, that might be a good thing, since it lessens the chance of an impulse buy.

I really dig the blue stripes on the TE16 and the fact that it's a 5-spoke wheel. It's like the hipster TE37.

white rocket 12-02-2016 08:32 AM

Yeah, shipping is in the $125-$150 range for a set of wheels. Pricey but expected.

The set I passed on was 16x7 in bronze and in mint condition for like $1400USD when our dollar was par. Fuck me. Then a white set came up about a year or so ago but it was a staggered set (2 at x7 and 2 at x8) but I'll only rock square on a FWD. Now that our dollar is shit I'm sure another set will pop up for like $2K USD. Argh!

That wheel ad you posted; do the 3 prices indicate that there are 3 different color options? I've only ever seen white and bronze. Would love to see a 3rd OG color.

The three prices are tyre options not color

^^I regret passing on that one. Cage bolt holes had me second guessing. Current owner is laughing all the way to bank now. Dat mileage :sweetjesus:
