Apparently only the US and Canadian markets got those VIN decals. A Euro carproof type thing shows no claims. Arm rest and shift boot are non-OEM.
Anyone got $30K they can lend me? | | | | | 08-01-2017, 08:59 AM | #1779 | | I WANT MY 10 YEARS BACK FROM RS.net!

yes I had a feeling those VIN were NA exclusive...weird despite them coming out of the same factory...different requirements i guess

			^^haha! time for a go-fund-me.
Interesting to see the blue VIN tag and it positioned above the battery on the firewall instead of the rad support like the JDM ones. No VIN on trans either.

I feel like such a nerd with my obsession with these cars. I mean they're not even that fast really yet I can't see myself in anything else (except an E30 M3 which is also notoriously slow)

 | 1997MY did not have the in-cabin trunk release. That option began in 1998.

But Type-R's have the thinner windshields for weight reduction, yo.
Unless there are aftermarket replacement R windshields, otherwise it sounds pretty exclusive.

Nice 2001 with 102kms near stock. $25k in Ontario. Not a bad deal if matching vins no accidents. Mine needs paint / restoration which will cost me a lot one day.
