im sure a number of them used to own Hondas...not that surprising.
if there was a bugatti or lambo community that raved about R then that would be interesting

FS: Highly Modified Integra Type R Transmission

Does anyone know anything about this ITR tranny?
Owner says he is in N. Burnaby and had a low mileage 97 but sold it with the stock tranny.
He claims he bought the parts online and now can't find the receipts when he moved but all the work was done by a certified Honda mechanic.

Yeah, I posted it up a while ago which is what worries me the most.
I need a new tranny for my Civic and this would be the same price as rebuilding mine and I still wouldn't have the extra goodies or LSD.

Ive seen that itr tranny ad since last year as well. It seems pretty sketchy of a buy without reciepts or able to test drive with it ,for all we know could be grinding gears

I think I test drove that '97 ITR with that trans in it a couple years ago. Was for sale with ultra low mileage but had a bunch of bolt ons and sat for years so it had a bit of surface rust. When I think about hindsight and the asking price at that time I want to shoot myself in the face with a shotgun today

Many years ago I purchased a JDM B18C swap thinking it was just a run of the mill JDM transplant. Turned out the trans was modified, LSD locked up so hard the car would hop if the steering wheel was turned to full lock... 8000RPM in 5th gear was 170km/hr, it took an entire tank of gas to make it from Calgary to Edmonton at a good clip.

Good times

Kinda pissing me off, but the owner hasn't responded to any of my recent emails. Last one I got was tuesday morning and it said he replied from his smart phone.

Oh well....

One guy emailed me, gave me so good info i told him to come back with a price. He responds with, i don't want to sell it.

The seller of my ITR was really wishy washy too. I showed up with a draft for an amount he couldn't refuse. Made it easy for him to sell it. He was still on the fence.

I've been continuing with deferred maintenance on my car.

Replaced 3 broken front wheels studs the other day
My OEM white wheels are at Panther getting refinished
Removed rear "Honda" badge, cleaned up old residue and reinstalled "Acura" badge
Removed orangey knockoff rear H badge and front oem faded pink A badge.
Ordered new OEM red "A" badges front and rear and OEM leather w/red stitch shift knob (Picking up at the Post Office tomorrow)

I removed my JDM ITR wheel to put the stock wheel back on. Couldn't get the SRS light to go out and the horn wouldn't work. Pulled out the clock spring tonight to discover it is from a different Integra with cruise control. A previous owner chopped the harness on the back of it and the 4 prong plug for the SRS is simply gone. WTF. I decided to buy the correct clock spring with the complete harness still attached.

nice. hard to find in japan because new laws and regulations do not allow the sale of used srs system parts anymore and require salvage yards to blow all the airbags in their wrecks. so what little there is left out there is in private hands or brand new... and then there are restrictions on shipping because it's considered an explosive
