Neighbour Is Dumping Garbage On My Property, Do I Mess With His Property? A neighbour is dumping his garbage on my property on a weekly basis. I've told him not to do it so many times I don't even bother anymore. I caught him a couple of times so now he does it when I'm not home. Anyone have any suggestions of what I should and could do to this guy and his house? I can't think of anything that doesn't involve damaging his house or his property. Can anyone think of something I can do to his house, car, etc.? Maybe if I do that he will get the message. |

1. Set up a camera. 2. Take the evidence to the city next time he does it. 3. Let the city deal with it. |

If my neighbor did that to me I would take all the garbage and dump it right in front of his cars so he couldn't get out. Next time it would be his front door, then back door, then patio deck if he had one, and so on. But I'm very patient and persistent. Its not for everyone. |

@devastator ^^ that's what I do when my neighbor leaves his trash cans and recycle bins in the street 3 days after garbage pickup. I stack them either all around his car in his driveway, or lean them up against his front door so when he opens the door they tip inside. SICK AND TIRED of him leaving his fucking garbage in the street where no one can now park cuz he's too fucking lazy |

If City of Vancouver there are no bylaws that can assist you even if you catch him unless he's dumping on City property, strictly civil matter. However, if his yard looks like a junk yard b/c of said garbage you can report him to a Property Use Inspector. |
