^ I also noticed it as an option on Paypal on items .. and it was just like ~$1000.

What is the world coming to. We're financing meals now?

I didn't realize this was a thing until I watched this video last night. I know BNPL is popular for bigger-ticket items, meal financing is completely new to me.

Moving back on topic, anyone find the new pricing on the Model S / X very reasonable for the specs? <$100k for a Model S is a lot of car.

What if battery fails right out of warranty? That's a big big repair bill.

How about other repairs when car is over 100k km like brakes, suspension, etc? M3 is probably more expensive than camry. I'd assume model 3 brakes will take a while to wear out due to brake regen but never count idiots out, seen so many m3 drivers hitting brakes on the highway SMH...

What if the Camry engine blows up? what if? what if? worrying about what may or may not happen doesn't do you any good. There are plenty of 100k mile+ tesla model 3's with the original battery.

You will need to change the brakes on your Camry at least once before you can even look at the brakes on a tesla. A tesla should easily go 100k+ km on the stock brakes if you have your regenerative braking set to max.

I've never driven to banff in my dual motor model 3 but have driven to seattle and just beyond it as well as to kamloops, multiple times. There have been no issues and no range anxiety. We have kids so when we travel, we are usually stopping for a bite to eat at some point (regardless of a gas or electric vehicle). When we do stop, we plan it around charging.

On our last trip to Olympia, we made it there with about 20% left on our battery. We went to eat dinner and charged at the same time. It took 25 minutes to charge the car to 80%. Driving with a Tesla is far easier to do road trips than any other EV on the market due to their supercharging network being so good.

If you are fear mongering others because of your own insecurities around range anxiety, you're being disingenuous. At least be factual with your concerns instead of letting your own prejudices impact others.

We have had 2 EV's (1 Tesla, 1 VW) and 0 ICE for the last year with no issues.

It goes on and on and on.

Isn't that the same with most FB groups / forums dedicated to a specific make/model? The Tesla / BMW ones stick out to me in particular.

noclue 09-02-2023 10:29 AM

I find the Model 3 and Y, the gas savings you get is partially negated by the fact insurance goes up at least $1000+ compared to equivalent gas or other EVs in the same price range, even with full ICBC discount.

No clue, I'm not in any other groups other than a VW id4 group.

Oh yeah, my favourite one I see sometimes is from Americans who ask how others store their guns in the car. smh.

- Hi. I have a stupid question Why do ppl hate Teslas?

It goes on and on and on.

Just got into an accident, any recommendation for a good body shop? Min 4x a week. All tesla certified body shops are listed on teslas website.

My 2 week old tesla is making a noise going Over bumps. Should I take it to tesla?

Just got this message on my screen(posts a pic), what does this mean.

Just got this crack in my windshield, should I take it to tesla? Min 3x a week.

Can i take my tesla through a car wash? Which do you guys recommend?

My range dropped by 12km since i got the car, is this normal?

I got a flat on the side of the road, what should I do? Who should I call

Where should I go to buy tires?

Scraped my car against a pole, how much to fix?

Whats the difference between my mouth and my butthole?

Badhobz 09-02-2023 09:40 PM

Sounds like a lovely group. It’s like the hipster version of Corolla LE forums.

trollface 09-04-2023 11:39 AM

That sounds like the FRS forum, tbh.

whitev70r 09-04-2023 05:29 PM

Saw three hooligan/idiots on Marine Dr last night, 2 on motorcycles and 1 Tesla. They raced off a red light on a busy city street ... what was impressive was that the Tesla won.

Badhobz 09-04-2023 06:55 PM

motorcycle guys needs more ass chaps leathers to beat hipster tesla dude

Is anyone here really annoyed by Tesla's decision to delete the turn signal stalk and go with steering wheel buttons instead?

From a user interface design / usability point of view, the change was absolutely disastrous. The cardinal rule in UI design / usability studies is -- you almost never want to change a universally accepted and universally adopted standard, and the turn signal stalk is one of those standards. In fact, it pisses me off so much that I can't really see myself getting used to the turn signal buttons if I still have to regularly drive a car with a turn signal stalk. I have a feeling that it might actually put me off enough that I wouldn't be able to get myself into a Tesla.

Or are you all just BMW drivers in disguise, so you never use your turn signals anyway?

Gumby 09-05-2023 09:58 AM

Wow that is a really weird design change. What's next - brake pedal will be hand operated?

GLOW 09-05-2023 10:37 AM

what's next is removing turn signal buttons altogether and it'll be on/off based on AI Kappa

Badhobz 09-05-2023 10:42 AM

What’s next ? Elon actually stepping down so tesla can finally separate from his ongoing madness ?

donk. 09-05-2023 10:55 AM

Yea, completely awful.
The buttons will just turn with the wheel. Basically any time the wheel isn't completely centre, you're playing spin the wheel on if you'll be signalling properly.
What about the times you're parked and have your wheels turned and need to signal out of your parking spot but your buttons are upside down now? How this passed multiple layers of management and review boggles the mind.

Couple of long range model3 in stock for under 60k
