Man modern Audi design really dropped off the cliff, rather look at the BMW pignose than that catfish design.

bcrdukes 02-19-2026 11:25 AM

I saw a recent Audi A5 and the rear tail lights is something out of a terribly made 90s alien movie. :heckno:

I always see rs7 wagons on the street, they don't seem that big besides wide.

But yes I agree new cars are huge just look at the fat ass M5 wagon.

whitev70r 02-19-2026 12:07 PM

I think you mean RS6 wagons.

To my knowledge, no RS7 wagons. RS7 Sportback sedans, yes but no wagons.

Polestar had just announced their new plans for their upcoming model line up, and there'll be a Polestar 4 estate that might sound exciting for some of us.

Personally, I'm more interested in the new 2, but that won't come until early next year (or so they say).

whitev70r 02-19-2026 03:38 PM

Was happy to hear 'estate' = wagon but here are some early conceptual image/renderings ... looks like any other compact SUV to me. Not really seeing the long roof classic wagon look.

I've been meaning to ask, that's not your car in your sig right? It's got a euro long plate on. How close is it to your actual car?

No, it'd be my dream modded white V70R in that gen. Ripped picture off a site called speedhunter.com. Can't seem to find it anymore. Guy was definitely tracking it, ripped up everything, had a roll cage.

Tracking it with BBS CH/CH-R? No way hahah those things would crack on curb impact.

Traum 02-19-2026 11:04 PM

I am not a wagon / estate fan myself, so I don't particularly care for there being one or not.

Having said that, I think the proportions of the rendering you showed are fairly nice -- the way the roof extends to the rear, along with the more traditional hatch looks much better and cleaner to me than the funky fastback with no rear glass on the current Polestar 4.

Until manufacturers can / are willing to stop packing thick battery packs along the floor of the EV, it's gonna be difficult to see an EV that sits at a normal ICE sedan / wagon height.

Speedhunter died this past week. EA was funding it and they lost interest it seems.

AstulzerRZD 02-19-2026 11:30 PM

I like wagons - C43 drives way better than GLC and E63 drives way better than GLE.
I hope they keep them alive but it's looking a little grim.

American enthusiasts buying hella RS6 and E63 are really keeping this shit alive.
British folk used to be majority wagon/hatch, now majority compact SUV.
European dads like my boss now drive plug-in SUVs for more space & tax saving, had V60 T8 before.
German market is 60% company cars, 75% tax reduction with EVs and no wagons are EV.

Wow, Mustang Mach-Es are pretty heavily discounted right now.

Base model is discounted $12k, Premium discounted $14k, and the GT and Rally versions discounted $15k.

With freight and PDI included, you can get a base RWD for $44k, triggering the federal rebate for another $5k off that.

And the Premium AWD is $48k - $5k rebate.

GLOW 02-20-2026 10:37 AM

but it's a mach-e
:troll: Kappa

AstulzerRZD 02-20-2026 11:37 AM

bluecruise is probably my fav highway driving assist
because whenever the handsfree stuff disconnects, it continues using L2 lanekeeping except u gotta put ur hadns on it.

supercruise just completely disables lol
fsd's latest driving attention stuff is overbearing

JDMDreams 02-20-2026 05:33 PM

Cyber truck dropped price in US, I don't think it's happening here doe

This is a pretty good deal compared to a BZ or the subaru version or a leaf.

twitchyzero 02-20-2026 09:07 PM

fed rebate only work on msrp or can be stacked on top of manufacturer/dealer discount?

RabidRat 02-21-2026 06:06 AM

The new rules are based on "final transaction value". Iirc include dealer fees, accessories, and add-on packages, but as well as discounts and incentives.

Excludes tax, extended warranty, and freight and PDI, etc (this was new to me, didn't realize that part!)

Full list of exclusions and inclusions here:

https://tc.canada.ca/en/road-transpo...-program#toc_2

dark0821 02-23-2026 07:43 PM

excludes Freight and PDI??!?!?!

LOL watch some manufacture have a super "cheap" EV but a $15,000 PDI lolol just to get that sweet sweet $5K

twitchyzero 02-23-2026 07:55 PM

is lack of 1-pedal driving a dealbreaker after getting used to rivian tesla?

dark0821 02-23-2026 08:22 PM

Pretty sure most EVs can one-pedal drive...

all the current Hyundai EVs will 1-pedal drive...

JDMDreams 02-23-2026 08:39 PM

Not really, I switch from EV, to JDM, to manual no problem

twitchyzero 02-23-2026 09:13 PM

toyota bz, most of the vwag still mostly require brake pedal for complete stop

JDMDreams 02-23-2026 10:07 PM

Speaking of EV did Vin fast shut down already? I drove by their store in New West and it's gone, no signs no cars left.
