I'm seeing the new bigger VF9 on the streets so I'm gonna guess no, they are still around.

so im gonna go look at the new toyota bz this afternoon.

They refreshed the damn thing and it seems like a really killer deal because.....
4k off from toyota
5k off from the federal government (if you get the XLE FWD version)
and the rates are super good, so monthly for the EV is like 500ish bucks a month

bcrdukes 02-24-2026 03:37 PM

I hope you come back disappointed! :D

EvoFire 02-24-2026 03:40 PM

He's gonna lease one so he can bash on it and then post it up for take over 8 months later

bcrdukes 02-24-2026 03:42 PM

Ballerhobz gonna Ballerhobz.

AstulzerRZD 02-24-2026 03:46 PM

Much worse than Mach E and way more expensive.

- 15kWh Smaller battery, whatever Hobz doesn't leave ricemond anyways.
- No EV navigation over Android Auto. Mach E supports both Carplay and AA, and even preconditions on Android Auto.
- Toyota app for climate is super slow, unintuitive, and failed to remote start a couple time vs. the Ford one is Tesla good - super fast and consistent.
- No 360 camera in the rebate price range, no hands free highway self drive for long straight prarie drives.
- Ford extended warranty is super cheap, like $1k purchased through a US dealer.

Nah, it's spare change for Hobz. He just buy one to make sure his tax money goes to him rather than others.

JDMDreams 02-24-2026 04:59 PM

Dishonor to Shanghai, recession is real. Maserati to Lexus to golf not even golf r to base model fwd Toyota :joy::fuckthatshit:

noclue 02-24-2026 05:00 PM

dudes gonna have a negative experience with the BZ and project it onto all EV's lol. Especially since he's trying the XLE FWD with the weak motor and small battery.

JDMDreams 02-24-2026 05:00 PM

Also I've never heard of cheap rates from Toyota

If I understand the new federal rebate correctly, I believe you can get the base Solterra with the $5k incentive as well since Subaru is also offering $4000 off. Their version has 300+ hp and AWD + 0.5-0.99% interest for a lease.

JDMDreams 02-24-2026 05:33 PM

^^he's gonna evolve into Baddieleshobz

This also unlocks X-mode (aka Crawl Control), and the Multi-Terrain Monitor (something you'd only get in the 4Runner TRD Off-Road or TRD Pro trims).

Pretty sweet: see-through camera view, looking at where your tires are placed.

This is in addition to the top-down 360 camera view, which is also a see-through view.

yray 02-24-2026 08:28 PM

badhobz, can you get the new leaf

bcrdukes 02-24-2026 08:32 PM

Hello? Is Badhobz there? He hasn't responded. Did he get thrown in jail for smashing the bz? Can someone do a welfare check on him, please?

JDMDreams 02-24-2026 08:55 PM

Car must be so good that he bought it on the spot, whipping it around Richmond right now

So i'll chime in cause i'm going to buy the BZ tomorrow.

Wife wanted rAV 4 HYBRID 2026 all hybrid, but wait is 4 mths, even if i buy it, i might jump the line to 1 month.
I wanted 2nd hand 2024 demo highlander (wife HATED the captain seats) - who will actually use it.. ugh... she wants to be closer to baby.

then wife tried the BZ and honestly since I have charger at home.. i'm all in with it. even at GTA being -13 C and 380 clicks, even at 25% i get 280? that's 90% more than i'll ever need.
So yes the trunk space is a BIT smaller than Rav4 and Ford Escape, i'll deal with that.

If i ever go on long trips.. i'll rent a car for $300 over the weekend.

Few tips.
1) yes the FWD is only 380 km range, AWD is 486km (more torque too)
2) NO one pedal (are you serious that you will never use the brake?)
3) No lane assist and no auto drive or whathever you call it (hands free )
4) cable and charger is included for your home
5) Cars are made in Japan.

You're right, no EV navigation, the 1 second delay on the Toyota app does sucks but meh.... Not sure about super charge.

I will say i do want the front trunk and i will miss NOT having a rear windsheild wiper.

It's 5k federal and 4k from toyota - ends March 2. IN STOCK.

The reason why I went with this is that I just simply don't trust Mustang. My ford crapped out after 167k with transmission etc. I much rather buy Toyota. Also the Lexus copy dashboard center console is legit.

AstulzerRZD 02-24-2026 09:11 PM

No EV navigation
2026 bZ actually has it now for carplay - no preconditioning for fast charging though.
Why not the Solterra? someone else pointed out you get a ton more features for the same money.

It's amazing in city traffic if you ever have to drive it. No switching between gas and brake with the foot, and no needing to feather into the brake or do a smooth release when coming to a stop - Ford, GM and Lucid software does all of that like it's a limo driver.

Tesla 1 pedal drive OTOH i really don't understand. that thing slams on the brakes as soon as you let go on the gas a bit. Terrible calibration.

Yeah that's fine tbh but it's really nice to be able to just kinda zone out and focus on looking at the traffic around you - esp with the way 400 series highway traffic is.

4) cable and charger is included for your home
Ford includes the install as well under power promise

Valid fear but tbh the bZ has had major issues with AC, 12V battery crapping out because they undersized it, etc.
Toyota is no guarantee of no major problems - for example, RAV4 hybrid cablegate cost a lot of owners $4-5000 before it was widespread enough to cover.
Ford's greatest weakness are their dealers.

Badhobz 02-24-2026 09:18 PM

I didn’t buy it. I went to see it. Drove it. It’s alright. Drives okay. Very plasticky interior.

Remember at 500 bucks that was my gTi with a proper manual. Now 500 gets me a soulless EV with a plasticky interior and way worse seats than the gti. Nothing about it was that impressive but also nothing was that offensive. If you guys want a cheap daily ev. This is a relatively good deal I guess. Not as good as my gti but it’s good for average joe.

ain't buying 5-10 year old tech right up ur alley ?
bZ should feel right at home

roastpuff 02-24-2026 09:40 PM

Honestly I kind of like the new Subaru Trailseeker. bZ Woodland for 5k cheaper? Has more standard features? No stupid Toyota face? Hell yeah.

RabidRat 02-24-2026 09:48 PM

It's faster too - 375 hp!

(than the Solterra at 338 hp)

Gumby 02-24-2026 09:52 PM

Badhobz should just go get a porsche EV :troll:

whitev70r 02-24-2026 09:56 PM
