There's one word to describe this :troll: |

It's kinda funny that they're reusing the exact same motors and batteries as in the CHR / Uncharted twins. Strange that they wouldn't offer the uprated power units that're standard in the BZ Woodland / Trailseeker! Even as an option. |
I'm guessing it has to do with prioritizing EV range over power for this segment to stay competitive, whereas the lifted wagon crowd of the Trailseeker are more niche and want a bit more performance. The FWD Highlander with 221hp and 198lb-ft of torque seem to suggest that anyway... |

White interior in a family car, I can't imagine how fast those seats will shit stain |
I don't think it needs more power because Toyota's new inverters and axles are competitive with Ioniq 5 and ID4 performance. Even with 800lbs extra weight, I think this will be in the range or GLE43/GLS450 speed to 100mph. |

ah nvm the Woodland has 375hp. |
And then there's the RZ 550e's 408hp version. Man, I'd love if they made an Uncharted STI w/ one of those setups. They even have simulated gearshifts linked to the paddles, I5N style. Apparently it'll even let you "bounce off the rev limiter" lolol. |
Looks like the diff between 308 and 375 hp is just a flash, the RZ450e offers a flash upgrade. 375 to 408 I'm not sure.... probably another flash lol |
White interior is fine. I like how it looks and honestly with a EV drivetrain, you don't really need more power than that most of the time. The X5 had 111hp from the EV motor and it was mostly fine. |
77kWh battery is kinda small, that's exact same as EV6/Ioniq 5/Mach-E standard range but with way more weight and worse aero. 96kWh extended range battery is also small, it's same as new CLA/Mach E extended range and smaller than Ioniq9/iX3 which have ~110kWh. |
I can't believe you guys aren't shitting on this yet. It's a freakin' Toyota, guys! |
oh god it has the awful lexus electronic door handles too those always get stuck if i don't open the door at the right speed/in the right amt of time |
Jesus, thank the Lord. We're back in business and a level of sanity has been restored. :sweetjesus: :fuckyea: |
we roast toyota every single time and akio just keeps posting record numbers in a full red outfit like some kind of automotive megachurch scam. the man is untouchable |
I hate Toyota! (I still want a Crown) :inout: |
^ so why haven't you bought one, I don't even see any on the streets, it looks like a prelude kinda thing where there's not enough boomers to sell to, I can't imagine there being any wait-list |
Oh, the reason is simple. See answer here |

The Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) launches on February 16, 2026, and the list of new cars eligible to receive either a $5,000 (fully electric cars) or $2,500 (plug-in hybrids) rebate has been made public. EVs ($5,000 Rebate): Chevrolet Bolt Chevrolet Equinox EV Dodge Charger Fiat 500e Ford Mustang Mach-E Hyundai Kona EV Toyota bZ PHEVs ($2,500 Rebate): Chrysler Pacifica Ford Escape Toyota Prius Prime The Canadian government will continue to update the list. It is important to note that not all cars on the above list will qualify. The rebate is trim-dependent, and the Final Transaction Price must be under $50,000. Exception: Vehicles manufactured in Canada (like the Dodge Charger and Chrysler Pacifica) are exempt from the price cap. “Final Transaction Price“ is defined as including the following: Base price of the vehicle trim (inclusive of incentives or discounts offered by vehicle manufacturers or dealerships) Optional features, add-ons, and packages Accessories included at delivery Manufacturer or dealership fees It is also interesting to note that the Nissan LEAF, which has an MSRP of $44,998, does not currently make the list. Neither does the Tesla Model Y, which starts at $49,990. |

https://tc.canada.ca/en/road-transpo...p-vehicle-list I'm surprised a few AWD models are actually included in the eligible list. If le wifey didn't feel so out of place in the Equinox, I'd be tempted to look more seriously into it. |
