Can you imagine the sales of earthquake survival kits or first aid kits at hardware stores or Costco this week? :troll:

tofu1413 12-29-2015 11:25 PM

felt the house bend...

like chassis flex on a cabriolet bend... for a solid few seconds

minoru_tanaka 12-29-2015 11:25 PM

Skytrain shut down.
Wait. Canada Line is earthquake proof, it's staying on

Mr.HappySilp 12-29-2015 11:25 PM

Felt it twice in Burnaby around BCIT.
At first I was like shit did my dad new fish tank crack, got up and felt it again. I was like shit earthquake. Saw my dad going out to check things out. Saw neighbour smoking and he is like yea it was an earthquake very calm.

I think everyone should have energency kits. If not maybe a good to have one. Make sure there are bottled water, canned food with can opener and blanekts that will last you at least 2 weeks. Oh and flashlight and batteries. It was funny coz after the power outage this year I was hunting for a flashlight and I just purchase one 2 days ago lol.

and bought batteries too

we need the deep end but not too deep. Just enough to scare the foregin investor to stop buying Vancouver house and apartment.

i hope the 8.8 hits when im old and on my death bed so i can just sit back, yank the cords out of the wall out and scream "FUCK ALL YA'LL HAHAHAHAHA" at the top of my lungs.

of course the odds of something like this happening are like 100million:1 but i a dude can dream right?

Some of those survival kits are a joke. Dollarstore bandages, ponchos, flashlights and candles... in a bucket or cheap pouch for $100+

Ok so i wasn't trippin. Was 5 mins into the new COD with headphones on and felt a big shock like a car hit the house or something. Paused the game, took off the headphones and my wife walked in the room with no reaction so I thought I was trippin and it was just the explosion + vibration of the controller lol
