Convertibles do not require a roll bar at Ridge with TSSxRS so the factory option is permitted for the events!

I've registered for the June 23rd event (as well as July and September). Am wait listed first timer for June 23. What's the possibility that a spot opens up?

Want to make these trips into a mini vacation with the wife, but that requires some additional planning. Or at least she does :fullofwin:

Sign up for may as first timer, then June, July, Sept as group B.:nyan:

How many jerry cans should I bring? I don't know how much gas I'm going to burn per session. I've got a 25L jerry can and a 330ci (tank size is 62L?)

Shell, Chevron stations are 5 mins away. Arco even closer.

The shell sucks if you want to try and make a quick gas run. It can be far from quick because it's tied to a restaurant.

Most people who need gas pop out during lunch to buy more gas.

Some of you may have heard but today we hosted our first Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit track day.

It was a private event - mainly because it was my first time hosting and going to this track. I wanted to keep it private so I can get a lot of good feedback / criticism to improve on hosting this event before I open it up to the public.

After today I can safe to say - please expect VIMC to be within our track day rotation for 2020 or maybe even August 2019 !

As you all know - I've only been hosting at Ridge Motorsports Park for the past 6-7 years and once at Mission Raceways.

I would like to expand my portfolio and hopefully be able to bring more variety of tracks held at a high standard of organization to the public at an affordable rate. Eventually I hope we can do Pacific Raceways and Portland International Raceway

As many of you know - I do this out of hobby and to help promote the sport.

I hope to get everyones support and feedback for the many years to come!

kchan currently has August 4th (Sunday) tentatively booked for VIMC. However, he needs to garner more interest before proceeding with the booking.

Mang... vimc looks so fun. I wish I could register but I blew all my budget on mission track days and mods for this winter.

Did you guys cancel the Aug 4th VIMC event? Just checked motorsportreg and registration is now closed.

I just heard about it last week and was waiting for parts to arrive before registering.

Will you guys try VIMC again for 2019? I have done it with Speed Fanatics 4 times and always have a great time. Very challenging and demanding track.

The event is not going through due to lack of interest. Admittedly, I think it was a short notice to see how much interest we could garner but it was also a very last minute thing for kchan to put together. Another event this season isn't out of out of the books but more than likely, it'll be next season until kchan can put together a VIMC event.

No worries. Maybe next year.

Time to buy a beater for track days.....
