I doubt it though. It's likely that the desire for ethical meat came from the company's second in command as well as the decision to look elsewhere for the meat if Canadian farmers weren't accommodating Jessa's requests.

The majority of Canadians, especially albertans are much more concerned with the economy than ethics.
However like I have said, this doesn't mean Earls won't be able to get humanely raised beef from Canada, it just won't come with a label on it.
They tried to capitalize on ignorance and failed.
The funny thing is, they didn't fail because the people proved not to be ignorant.
