So i assume going for the vizo 4k makes a lot more sense?
It would be spare room tv video games and the odd movie
Rtings.com seems to rate the Vizio M-series a better value than the Samsung J6300 series. They seem to rate the Samsung J7100 highly though.

Thing with 8k is the bandwidth requirements.

4K currently requires consistent 18mb/sec connection. Lots of homes aren't there or aren't at a connection that can continuously provide a good enough connection at that level, let alone 8k

Check rtings. If you want good value, the M60-C3 is a real winner. Very popular on RFD.

I think given the fact that 4K is still so new and in the grand scheme of things really there isn't alot of content. I'm probably one of those people that buy new TV's every 5 years or so.

I'm not sure on pricing now, but when I got my 65" 1.5 years ago 4K was like double/triple the price of 1080P. Just didn't make sense. If you're talking a few hundred in difference then 4K makes sense.

8K is not happening for a long time. Just the hardware required to edit 8k would be nuts.

Yes, I may return after what I saw.

Samsung J6200 Series 60" 1080p 120 CMR LED Smart TV (UN60J6200) ( one I got )

Samsung JU6390 Series 60" UHD 4K LED Smart TV (UN60JU6390)
better deal!?!

Ok so self research done,
It would be $150~ difference from the first link ( which is what I bought) to the 60 INCH 4K UHD TV...
BUT

From the 60INCH 4K UHD TV vs 60INCH 4KSUHD TV is a about $700 difference
Any input guys?

Should I just keep what I have or return and spend the extra $150 for the 4K UHD
THE SUHD is out of the picture for me, I am not able to spend $2400 on a TV at this time..

did you already take delivery? Unless Visions offer to exchange it when they deliver the replacement I'd be like fuggit
that's why it's so important to do it right the first time with lots of research on these big ticket appliances

Yeah, I picked up myself actually, so I need to pack it back into the box and return and buy the new one.. and reload it
I am going to return it tomorrow and buy the 60INCH 4K UHD for $150 more..

What are your guys thoughts on 4K UHD vs 4K SUHD (SAMSUNG) noticed its a big jump for the 4K SUHD - starts in the $2200's..

ALSO*
Would you guys buy Vizio products?
Was looking at this one
VIZIO 65" 4K Ultra HD LED 120Hz Smart TV (D65U-D2) : 60 - 69 inch TVs - Best Buy Canada

Comes a bit cheaper than the Samsung 60INCH 4K UHD.

vs

Samsung JU6390 Series 60" UHD 4K LED Smart TV (UN60JU6390)

HOWEVER I will add

End of day,
http://www.visions.ca/catalogue/cate...sku=UN60JU6390
What do you guys think about this? This is the one I have been looking at to purchase

//////////////////////////////////////////

And why do some Samsung TV cost more at 1080P than a 4K?
My guess is older models go on sale?
If anyone can confirm this

I like Vizio. I needed to get a TV for a meeting room, and after comparing TVs in-store, we went with the Vizio M50-C1. I like the QWERTY keyboard on the back of the remote. If my home TV broke today, I would get a Vizio tomorrow.

The only people who I've ever heard argue against 4K sets are people who don't have them/haven't seen them.

My buddy has an older Elite Kuro, always said fuck 4K I'll keep my TV, then he saw my XBR and was blown away.

Obviously all TV processors are not created equal, but when I was buying my TV 2 xmas's ago, the argument THEN was "future proofing"

Obviously two years later we are over that hump and with Rogers now supporting 4K TV services, and Netflix releasing all their new original content in 4K, what a mistake to not get a 4K set imo.
But if you gotten a 1080p TV 2 years ago it would've saved you about $2k?

The money you saved 2 years ago is enough to get you another 4K TV today when contents are finally becoming available. (Plus you get an extra TV) And I think the benefits of a 4K vs 1080p TV is very minimal in last 2 years because there were so little contents available.

I'd totally get a 4K today tho considering the price difference is quite small. (e.g. many 65" 1080p at $1000-$1500, 4K are $1500-$2000)

Btw, if you dont' have unlimited bandwidth internet, dont' bother with 4K content...
You can easily go thru 100-200GB in 1 weekend

Thanks for this, yes what made me want to just return the product was the fact it was only another additional couple hundred (not over 300-400)

I'm 100% set on buying this one
Samsung JU6390 Series 60" UHD 4K LED Smart TV (UN60JU6390)

However now I'm stuck debating if I should go openbox.ca

Its going for $1200-1300 CASH..
I can save 300-400$ actually however I've never bought refurbished or pre-used store display electronics..

I don't have experience with open-box but if you're gonna spend 1300 might as well buy new instead of trying save on the taxes to take a return/floor model/refurbd

I would use this as your main and move your current one for guest use.
