vizio tv's are pretty good. just do your research on the models. with some of the higher end models only real complaints i've heard/read are that the speakers are kind of weak. a sound bar can easily fix that though..

The money you saved 2 years ago is enough to get you another 4K TV today when contents are finally becoming available. (Plus you get an extra TV) And I think the benefits of a 4K vs 1080p TV is very minimal in last 2 years because there were so little contents available.

I'd totally get a 4K today tho considering the price difference is quite small. (e.g. many 65" 1080p at $1000-$1500, 4K are $1500-$2000)

Btw, if you dont' have unlimited bandwidth internet, dont' bother with 4K content...
You can easily go thru 100-200GB in 1 weekend
The XBR line is still $2100+ today for slightly better tech.

Happy with my purchase and the TV will last me years into the future. I'm not the type of person to wait forever on somthing

Samsung JU6390 Series 60" UHD 4K LED Smart TV (UN60JU6390)

However now I'm stuck debating if I should go openbox.ca

Its going for $1200-1300 CASH..
I can save 300-400$ actually however I've never bought refurbished or pre-used store display electronics..
For something delicate like a television, I normally would not forgo the savings, unless the savings is well over 30% off MSRP and other personal circumstances.

As mentioned earlier by another member, I would encourage you to buy something new. Not having 4K is not the end of the world, given that there is a limited amount of content available any way. There are plenty of other options that are less than $1000.

once you've got it setup use the build in Netflix App and check out their streaming 4k content (you will have to upgrade your netflix account to the premium membership)

keep in mind, you will -only- get true 4k content through the TV's built in app, not using appleTV etc.

they have some good demo footage, such as their waterfalls, forest, etc. in the "4k" section. You wont be disappointed.

Sorry to hijack your thread but how is the TV? I was currently looking at the same one and debating if I should grab it or an LG 55" 4K for abit cheaper

Design is beautiful, everything seems ok
But yes there isnt much 4k content, so it mainly is for future proofing.
What I HDMI off my laptop appears as in but that's ok.
What I watch on netflix is entirely differnet, the quality and clarity is insane

I'd recommend just going to Vision's and seeing the show room
