soo subban rumors again, vancouver attached to them. mtl management and scouts are also purposely staying in Toronto, away from other teams management so more info doesn't get out

Benning did a media thing prior to the draft today
-Canucks most likely keeping 5th overall
-Acquiring picks seems difficult, unlikely that anymore will be picked up
-Benning interested in Lucic but is going to wait until after the draft to talk with him
-Benning confident that expansion draft will have little affect on future plans
-No new information on the buyout front

benning was just on the radio again
- confirmed they called and asked about subban. price is high, if a deal would be worked out they would have to talk about it all night. he also said deals like this would depend on whos available at 5
- no interested in taking on contracts like datsyuk or bickell unless those contracts help the team now
-will call lucic's agent after draft and set up a meeting for next week
-trying to acquire more picks for the draft
-new assistant has to be able to run pk and help with faceoffs

Benning on Team 1040:
Talking points: - Benning did due diligence on PK but doesn't believe that we will get him
- Confident that 5th overall will be kept
- Glad Gudbranson deal was done before the draft because they avoided a betting war
- Price too high to trade up
- Sounds unlikely that another top 2 round pick will be acquired
- Benning is talking to teams about getting another pick, but it will cost a player on a returning contract (duh)
- Canucks believe that 20 players are top 6 fowards/ 2 defensemen
- Benning believes that talent drops off severely after first 2 rounds
- Looking to add major piece in free agency plus some depth signings
- Benning wants to remain competitive, not interested in picking up bad contracts a la Bickell trade
- Planning to talk to Lucic after draft
- Believes Lucic provides valuable piece to team
- Does not believe Miller Lucic "run in" will be a problem should he sign

what time is the Draft tmrw and is TSN still carrying it?
I can't find in their tv schedule
