i have an old long lasting bulb from almost 10 years back that still works.

no doubt LED's will last even longer.

I got a Small Florescent light in my laundry room that has been on for almost 17 yrs st8 and still going..............

I've had a terrible experience with CREE LEDs. Apparenetly you're not supposed to use them in a fully enclosed housing. Many of mine died that way, and I also put one in a garage door opener. They're also not very shock resistant either. The new CREE flow ones are better, but quite honestly for the price they're charging, I'm just switching back to CFL as my LED's go out one by one.

I've been using Philips LED bulbs with zero issues... Identical light colour to regular bulbs if you get the yellower ones instead of the blue/white style
