Delgado, lind, aj burnett, roy halladay sauce, alex rios

only person I remember in 2016's roster compared to 2008 is jose bautista :(

Glad you missed the team when they were perennial bottom feeders

Gonna be tough down the stretch with Liriano getting plunked in the head... such bad luck - bright side being it's only a mild concussion.

Let's go Sanchez..... been throwing phenomenally all year - let's see if he can carry that through to the playoffs

Go Jays, GO!!!

basically being a canucks fan from 2008-2013 would be the same as the rangers from 2010.
young talent hitting the team, good/great regular season records, sucks in the playoffs, makes it to the finals and chokes.
they share our pains. but, fuck em

There's also never been a Bluejays thread on here, so it's kind of stupid to call out bandwagoners.

If any of you watched the Jays during the Ricky Romero and Gustavo Chacin days then you're seriously legit fans :lol

Do you remember the days of Russ Adams (perennial SS), Mike Sirotka (return from David Wells trade who was supposed to be good but never played one game, and Billy Koch? WutFace

Billy Koch was decent. He was an absolute beast when he was on the top of his game, but his inconsistency and the ability to get mentally rattled was what led to his downfall. His fastball was absolutely amazing to watch when he had it under control. He's only a handful of players that has ever thrown faster than 100 mph (clocked his fastball at 101 mph)

billy koch had a rare disease where he had constant muscle twitching hence why he was erratic and eventually left baseball

Up 3-1 already.

They should really be up 3-0. Sanchez's control was really off in that 1st inning

Come on sweep!!!!!!!

MG1 10-09-2016 05:47 PM

Intentional walk........... hope it backfires.

MG1 10-09-2016 06:05 PM

I want to see a 15+pitch-at-bat. Tire out the pitcher, lol.

2004 Dodgers vs Cubs record setting 18-pitch-at-bat

EDIT: found this while searching record..............

Quote:

Another Hall-of-Famer, Richie Ashburn, the great center fielder for the Phillies from 1948-59, and one of the game's best leadoff hitters, once said he fouled off 17 straight pitches in one at-bat before hitting a single. Again, there's no written proof of this that I could find. Unlike that amazing Ashburn story dating back to the '57 season when old Whitey hit a spectator with a foul ball in the stands. The spectator, named Alice Roth, broke her nose and was carted off on a stretcher. As she was being taken away, Whitey hit her again with another foul ball!

MG1 10-09-2016 06:29 PM

11 strikes of 13 pitches......... fast, fastballs in the 99 mph range. Damn. This Bush guy might shut down the Jays. Hopefully, he fizzes out.

MG1 10-09-2016 06:53 PM

Setting up for a double play............. yeah, right. Gonna backfire like the last intentional walk.

MG1 10-09-2016 07:00 PM

YES!!!!!!!
YES!!!!!!!
YES!!!!!!!
