dickey wont be re-upped. hopefully grilli is brought back
starting roation is estrada-happ-sanchez-stroman-liriano

jose will be let go. ee will be given a larger offer, but prob goes to boston.

need to target trumbo, morales/napoli, and a high end reliever

Blue Jays better open up their cheque book if they wanna make the playoffs next season.

That Dickey trade is looking worst each year. Sure he was coming off a CY Young, but he was already 37 at the time.

Syndergaard is a beast and will be for years to come.

The Mets sent Dickey to Toronto along with catcher Josh Thole and minor-league catcher Mike Nickeas, while getting back catcher John Buck, Wuilmer Becerra, and two top prospects: catcher Travis d'Arnaud and Syndergaard.

I really hope rogers pays EE. He did say Toronto is still his top choice in the off-season.

I don't mind if we don't resign jose.

Our pitching staff has been great and I think with them we'll be able to contend for a playoff spot next year. We just need some bats and yes a high end reliever.

It sucks to bump this thread with this kind of news but Blue Jays HOF Roy Halladay died today when his plane crashed.

Former Blue Jay Roy Halladay killed in plane crash - Article - TSN

Probably the best Blue Jays pitcher, ever. Dead at the age of 40.

The amount of outpouring support from the league and sports world just goes to show how great he was.

Only a few years into retirement such a shame.

RIP

Flying private plans is always a sketchy venture for the rich.

Know a few people who had considered it and took flying lessons etc but then backed out of buying a plane because they figure you’ve got all this money and life left why risk it.

Couldn’t really be more true for a guy probably worth 100 mill+ and only 40 years old. Apparently an avid aviator though so I give him credit

Fuck so sad. My favorite pitcher when I used to follow MLB.

He has said he wanted to get his full license so that he could become an instructor and someday be the one that teaches his kids how to fly :okay:
