You seem sot know a lot about electronics just want to know if I buy a Nintendo Switch in Japan will it work in Canada? I will be visiting Japan in May and though if I buy there is cheaper and they might have limited edition there that we don't get in Vancouver.

Canada and Japan use the same voltage, and Nintendo has confirmed that there will be no region locking, so I'd say yes it would be fine.
I'm not sure if you could change the system language or anything like that though, we'll have to wait and see

Just got back from London Drugs with a console and two games. Zelda and Bomberman, of all things. I ordered a console on-line, but rather have one now and in my hands. When I receive the online one, I'll sell to one of my kids' friends at cost.
When I got to LD at 9:15, there were two left. Also got a screen protector for the console.

I must say what was Nintendo thinking using a shitty plastic screen that scratches easy with a cheap dock that has no protection when you slide the device in. This is literally the whole point of the thing and they didn't do enough quality control to realize that's a problem? Cheap ass motherfuckers.
Just received by best buy pre order. Don't need a second one so if anyone wants it I will let it go at cost. I'm in Nanaimo but can ship.
It's sold out at everywhere. Went to best buy to buy a case and they where sold out of pretty much everything. Only thing they had left was one set of joycon's a screen protector and some Zelda sticker for the Switch. Ended up getting the Hori case from London Drugs.

Heard it was so it didn't break as easily if you dropped it.
Would've liked it if they included a tempered glass protector.

Even if drop protection is the reason, there's no reason to not line the dock with something that won't scratch it. Hmmm soft plastic rubbing against hard plastic, who would have thought...
