Yea that shit don't exist no more bruh we be lucky with low double digits on the dollar amount.

Again I do nothing fancy, also had it last night at $26.99 from T&T

-Bring water to boil and turn off
-Throw shrimp in for 30 secs give or take
-Amoy chill soy sauce for dip

JizzMasterZero 05-14-2017 07:27 PM

Granville island prices:

Seafood City 28.80/lb
Lobster Man 26.99/lb

dapperfied 05-14-2017 07:29 PM

Those prices.. :heckno:

Traum 05-14-2017 10:35 PM

Thought I saw the going rate at both Granville Island and Steveston Pier were $20/lb

Hondaracer 05-15-2017 06:57 AM

guy i talked to yesterday who has a buddy who sells at steveston was saying it's $40/LB for the tails? fuckk...

is it ok to eat them raw when buying from a source like steveston wharf? i'm planning on making some Prawn tartare

murd0c 05-15-2017 06:59 AM

yes it's ok to eat them raw if they are fresh, places like steveston are safer then buying at the store 90% of the time.

E-40six 05-15-2017 05:56 PM

Dayumm with prices like that, no wonder prawn licences are going for close to a million now

westopher 05-15-2017 07:32 PM

Probably won't even order any for work this year. They are so overpriced you need to put a $40 dish together to make it make sense. The ones my buddy got in from his supplier were 90% dead and fucking $24 a pound.

dat_steve 05-16-2017 12:52 PM

i tried this recipe over the weekend (which i normally do with clams/mussels) with a few pounds of prawns and it worked quite nice!

- beer (used some pilsner i had lying around)
- butter
- garlic
- green onions
- a bit of veggie stock (frozen cubes in my freezer)

had a bunch of "broth" left over, so i kept it and i plan on making some udon in it or something.

I ordered from a local Seafood wholesaler
Buy Spot Prawn (Ocean Wise) Online - Buy Live Seafood

I would probably call ahead and order. I ordered on Tri-Star Seafood's website since they deliver for FREE ( with a minimum amount of course ). So it's pretty cool to have seafood delivered to your house.

Eatman 05-17-2017 07:05 PM

holy shit, $22/lb is considered a good price nowadays? damnnn

They expecting a riot at $20/lb?

ForbiddenX 05-20-2017 09:22 PM

Is it worth it at that price? I've never had them before but have been really curious. What would be the best way to make em for the first time?
