I see 5 related videos to press conferences as well as a very detailed article regarding the matter. As well as 11 comments so far on a news site that mainly covers incidents from the other side of the continent. What is "no one" to you?

It may be the top story on a Canadian site but it's not the top story on CNN or Fox news not even close. If the guy was named Mohamed it would be the biggest story.

I feel really bad for the UK right, these terror attacks are happening way too frequently

I really hope we don't start seeing stuff like this in Canada

That right there is right. I felt pretty awful today. Not only about the above incident, but because of a joke I made to some friends after the concert bombing last week. It was just a joke to some very close friends and I honestly deal with these issues with humour. But today's news sure made me feel like an ass, when you truly realize these are real people.

And another one:
Quote:
Police have shot a man who attacked an officer with a hammer outside the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris.

The man shouted "this is for Syria" during the attack, the interior minister said. Prosecutors have opened a terrorism investigation.

The officer suffered minor injuries. The suspect was wounded in the chest when another policeman opened fire.

Tourists fled for cover as the attack unfolded. Hundreds of people were in the cathedral at the time.

And another one, this time Canada gets to join in on the party!:
Quote:
A woman was arrested for threatening people with a knife at a Canadian Tire store in Toronto on Saturday, and Global News has learned she may have been wearing an ISIS bandana at the time.

A source confirms the incident took place at Scarborough’s Cedarbrae Mall in the city’s east end.

The woman was reportedly wearing a niqab and a bandana adorned with what appeared to be a symbol for the so-called Islamic State group.

was walking down london bridge around same time of the evening about 2 weeks ago, thinking how easy it is for vehicles to jump the curb like the Westminster attack...few days later the Manchester bombing occurred...then this...then Paris Notre-Dame, etc etc.

if you don't live/study/work in the UK...best just to avoid visiting this year if you haven't made plans. I said the same thing about visiting Turkey last year.

call it #teamhideyokids or #teamlettheterroristswin....I rather be safe than sorry if I don't need to be in those places that are repeatedly under attack.

Terrorist attacks in Tehran suicide bombers and hostage takers in and around parliament

Iran's parliament and Khomeini mausoleum attacked by gunmen - BBC News

Saudi Arabia is really making a lot of moves these days

The blacklisting of Qatar was quite surprising too but looks like they're backpedaling there by blaming Russia for fake reports

that's funny you say that, when I see shitty driving in the US that would usually warrant laying down the horn in Canada, I would just let it slide hoping not to piss any loose cannons off that's probably packing heat

man if I got shot up at Costco getting gas or doing outdoor activities in their national park...that would be a shame thankfully US airports have been pretty safe...people can hate on the x-ray scanners or being hassled by the TSA...so far they've done a decent job

if I lived there, and all my family was around, I would continue business as usual

if I have no reason being there other than sightseeing, then yes I would ust skip it this year. One attack, shrug it off. Attack after attack especially at tourist hotspots, no thanks.

Geography plays a part more so than policy. We would probably be a lot worse off given our vast unguarded borders.

Except you're not being safe. Stop being ignorant and realize that the odds of being killed in one of these wimpy terrorist attacks are puny at best. There are thousands and thousands of ways you're more likely to be killed that you don't even think about.

chances of HIV positive conversion through bloodborne contact is very slim too
doesn't mean I will start picking up every used needle I see

again, sorry if I don't want to be in tourist spots that are consistently getting hit. We're not talking years or months, basically daily. There are hundreds of alternatives if one were to travel this year. A bit fearmongering yes, but I fail to see how it is ignorant.

Deadly Statistics

Quote:
The chances of being killed in a terrorist attack are about 1 in 20 million. A person is as likely to be killed by his or her own furniture, and more likely to die in a car accident, drown in a bathtub, or in a building fire than from a terrorist attack.
watch out for your couch it's out to get you.

Following your standards London has never been safe.

the chances of flipping or crashing your vehicle at the autocross/track...why wear Snell-rated helmets
chances of a ship capsizing, slim...why bother with PFD and lifeboats

if terrorism is negligible then look at the fineprints of a travel insurance...you'll likely find a solid paragraph on it.

pretty sure it's already the city with most gov't CCTV activity
whatever helps me sleep better at night

But your not saying people should not autocross or go on a boat? London is still safer than many cities in the world.
