I bet you could give a few of us lessons on being a player and closing some game despite your advanced age :fullofwin:

"Pass the torch," has always been my motto. Let the young do what you can no longer do. They are the future. You've had your time.

As one young philosopher wannabe on RS once said, "Just watch Matlock, 'cause that's all seniors do." Gulol lol lol lol.

Tim Budong 03-14-2018 03:31 AM

Can't say I can think of anyone BUT the sedins out there during crunch time. They are slow, but their possession game is still on point.

MG1 03-14-2018 06:16 PM

So they can take a penalty and ruin any chance of a win, tie, or comeback.

If they don't have possession, they're pretty much............... nuff said. If this is their last year, it's a shame they have to end it on such a low note.

Anyway, as Emperor would say, "The Canucks, so good."

68style 03-14-2018 07:41 PM

Are we ever going to score another goal?

MG1 03-14-2018 07:53 PM

Looks like Gibson is going to get a SHUTOUT!!! :troll:

Wow!

Corey Perry embellishes that hit by Edler. What a flopper! :fuckthatshit:

-sad to see Horvat shoot that puck into the boards in frustration after the refs blew the whistle to call Edler's penalty.

I watched almost all of the Dallas/Toronto game.. couldn’t have been more opposite than this one skill and excitement-wise

Remember the last time Canucks scored a goal? Pepperidge farm remembers

Also, I didn't realize Chicago was doing that poorly this season

68style 03-14-2018 09:26 PM

* I just realized the other day when someone on a poolie forum called Chicago a dumpster fire and I laughed...... until I saw that dumpster fire is still 10 points better than us

Infiniti 03-14-2018 09:38 PM

The standings are surprising this season. Ottawa was a contender last year, while the Red Wings saw playoff action from 1990 to 2016. Then they started to suck.....

The Blackhawks standings really make the Kane/Toews re-signing look like a bum deal.

Liquid_o2 03-15-2018 09:28 AM

It's good that we have played more games than other teams. Allows them to get some more points and try to pass us in the standings.

But let's be real here. Chicago will win the draft lottery, end up with Dahlin, and Chicago will win another cup in the next few years. Or there will be a Karlsson and Dahlin paring on Ottawa...

Do you guys think that the Sedins should seriously consider retirement after this season?

I have been watching Hank and Daniel closely in the last 10-15 games, while trying hard to not fall asleep during those games. -tough to watch this team.
:lawl:

They are even slower than before. -What is noticeable is Hank's game with the penalties that he takes and his turnovers.

They are consummate professionals in the way they prepare for each game and their off season workouts show how much hard work they do to prepare for each season.

Henrik and Daniel revolutionized the game with their smart puck possession style. -good leaders that lead the team by example.

They are also great guys who have spent quite a bit of time and money in the helping the local community with charity work and other endeavours.

Having said that, is it time for the twins to think about life after the NHL and call it a career?

Not really racist! 03-15-2018 11:04 AM

They have been great mentor, but its time for them to go. They are just too slow, and they are pretty much the last of the OG. They gotta bring in new guys and let them develop.

murd0c 03-15-2018 12:26 PM

Not only that Hank hasn't scored in 50+ games, I don't want to see them leave but the time is up.
