This is still my favorite play from them

bobbinka 04-02-2018 10:24 AM

:QQ:

I just wish they played some other teams in their final games to get a proper send off, like when Iginla and the Flames came back out for Linden. Would've been happy with Chicago, SJ, or Ottawa.... Instead the Sedins get Arizona and Edmonton

EmperorIS 04-02-2018 10:24 AM

Canucks yet again wasting another pair of talent’s career

68style 04-02-2018 10:26 AM

That MVP chant after that goal... chills...

In the earlier debates I couldn’t decide if it’s good for them to play next year or not, but now they said they’re not and I’m a sobbing man-baby... so my heart says it’s too soon.

cdizzle_996 04-02-2018 10:36 AM

Maybe they can convince Loui to retire as well..

Tim Budong 04-02-2018 10:38 AM

52 and 48 pts this season for daniel and henrik
very good 2nd line numbers

no doubt they can still play for another year if they wanted to

pastarocket 04-02-2018 11:57 AM

-gonna miss the Sedin's sense of humour that you can see during some of their interviews.

-from the retirement announcement press conference today:

Reporter's question: "Who is going pick up the bill for some of the team dinners now that you guys are retiring?"

Henrik: "It's hard to say. There are a lot of cheap Canadians on this team. Maybe a Swede?"

:lawl:

-funny commercial of the Sedins in their younger days: :lawl:

Sedins are still dominate 2nd line forwards right now.

Probably just didnt wanna deal with the rookies... but elias petterson is coming

Liquid_o2 04-02-2018 02:04 PM

Too bad they won't be around to mentor Petterson and Dahlen. I know Naslund had a big impact on the Sedin's when they were young.

Ticket prices gonna sky rocket now

Hah, believe it or not, I am getting lowballed on face value price for my tickets for Thursday's game.

I'm sad I'm not in town for this. The Sedins have been a fundamental part of the team for as long as I've been in Canada following hockey. It's an end of an era.

whitev70r 04-02-2018 04:52 PM

Anyone hear the presser, did you get the feeling that the management 'pushed' them like telling them that they won't re-sign them even for a year? Hard to guess by reading between the lines but I sensed a bit of that.

murd0c 04-02-2018 04:54 PM

I'm fricken pissed off I won't Letterkenny tickets from 1040 which is Thursday night so I'm going to miss the game :(

I got a vibe from management, especially from Benning when he was answering questions about the twins, that they were encouraging the Sedins to think about retirement. Benning said that he spoke to the twins at the trade deadline about their thoughts on their future. Then JB mentions to the reporters that he asked the Sedins again after the deadline about their career plans.

Guess I'll be watching at home with the stupid ticket prices online. Well over $200 each for nosebleeds.

roastpuff 04-02-2018 06:16 PM

Such sad news :QQ:

Some people are selling lower bowl for $1000. Freaking insane.

Rising in value faster than Bitcoin last year.

Good day to be a scalper ... make your whole year of profit in these 2 remaining games.

Great look at the 99 draft. 1/2/3 picks to Vancouver was a possibility.
