How about just winning some games? |

I don’t know I think he’s pretty involved in drafting. He went from meat and potatoes to speed and skill. I’d say he made final say on kole lind. |
he was all over Kole Lind right away, hopefully he keeps it up in the AHL after the great WHL year he's been having this year |

I think the scouting success is because of both factors. |
Even if the past draft was mostly Brackett, Benning promoted him there, so he gets credit either way for draft successes. Aside from Boeser, it's really too early to be calling Benning's draft record good or bad. He currently has 1 NHLer (arguably 2 if you assume Tryamkin would be in the lineup if he hadn't gone back to Russia). We have a lot of guys who look good like Pettersson, Demko, and Gaudette, but we've all seen guys who struggle to make the jump to the NHL. Issues I have with Benning and Linden are the constant excuses, vague vision/plan, poor performance outside of drafting, poorly constructed team year-after-year, throwing advantages out the window, etc. |
Not bad singing. A little heavy on the embellishments, but it could have been worse. Also, that outfit needed to be a bit more tailored to fit the singer. Not complaining, too much. As you were.................. |

My biggest issue are all of the things you mentioned. It takes more more than drafting good kids to win, even when you draft McJesus you can be at risk of not making the playoffs. JB/TL haven't demonstrated so far to me anyways that they can make the good signings, trades, and moves more often than the bad ones. They don't seem to me to be able to take advantage of their situations like MG/LG did before them. If this team ever makes it to any place of significance in the playoffs, it will likely be on the backs of players drafted by JB. But it will be the supporting pieces added by the next management group that will be the difference makers. |

Sign Guddy, make Tanev and Hutton available for trades (either at TDL or draft), why not. Tanev is good but isn't a physical presence, and he will get us 4 times what Guddy would return. At this point Tanev's skillset when he's not injured is wasted here anyways. I'm not a fan of Guddy's play here so far, but can see his (limited) upside and the above plan would be more constructive than trading him away for even 2 2nd round picks at TDL |
if tanev is traded and he signs for under 4.25 I wont like it, but ill be ok with it. need someone to fight, and be good in locker room while young players come in next couple years. don't want petterson to get boarded and then the team ignore it for the rest of the game |
Big, tough players aren’t difficult to get. Even a middleweight or two is sufficient. Would much rather an elite defender and some picks than a bottom 3 defender and better picks. |
player whos good in locker room, will fight for the team, a waste cap of so benning cant spend on others, be gone by the time we are competing + a 1st and solid prospect > horribly broken elite defender who cant play half a season by the time they are able to compete, +4th round pick |

I'm in for trading Tanev, I feel this injury thing is going to get him down the road. Next salo. Might as well get something if it's a big return. |
