Second Look: 2019 Acura RDX - NY Daily News There’s only one powertrain available on the 2019 Acura RDX, but it’s a doozy: the 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine and 10-speed automatic. This same powertrain can be found under the hood of the 2018 Honda Accord. That replaces the current model’s V6 and improves performance: the 2019 Acura RDX delivers 272 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopo...ft-quarter.jpg http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopo...te-profile.jpg http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopo...-dashboard.jpg |
I've been somewhat shopping for a new turbo CRV and have been reading up on the 1.5L turbos used in Civic's and CRV's and several owners are reporting issues with fuel dilution in the oil. Do the 2.0L turbos have this issue too? |
Surprised that it's actual measurements are 187 inches long - that's quite a bit longer than its direct competition (X3, Q5, GLC) and more inline with the RX350, GLE and XT5. That size might end up being a deterrent for me as my wife doesn't like big cars and she thinks the X3 is big. I also assume that means that Acura is going to get into the subcompact space to compete against a X1 and Q3. Something with the Civic Si's 1.5L Turbo (205hp) and about 175 inches long (a bit bigger than the HR-V). |
I can't get over how incredible this new RDX looks. Easily the best looking crossover once it hits the market. |
saw this at the auto show today and man its a nice vehicle! |
That interior is very NSX like. |
so mazda-like but that's a huge compliment they've come a long way since hitting rock bottom https://images.hgmsites.net/med/2010...00226871_m.jpg |

besides that grill, not a bad looking car. it does have a bit of Murano feel to it though... |
Nice car. Usually, I either like a cars exterior or interior Never both. This one I like both! |
2 Attachment(s) Found more info on Azine forum. These are specifically for Canadian models. There are 5 trims in Canada. Supposedly the base price will be CAD$42k, and goes all the way to CAD$55k. Attachment 30004 Attachment 30005 There are more information on Azine, including color choices, full specs, model comparison, etc. |
So does the Elite and PE trims have the A-Spec "sport styling" as well? |
|
There's around 20 of them in Whistler this weekend all with California plates. |

The Azine thread suggests that you also can't get the red leather seats in the A-Spec version either which sucks for me as I don't want black leather seats (I'm in the market). |

Not sure who is your favorite reviewer.. but today is the official launch |
The reviews are pretty positive across the board - some extremely positive. Looks very promising - I'm shopping this again a C300 wagon right now and there's a $5-10K diff in price that could tip things Acura's way. |
CANADIAN PRICING. ouch..price jumped up quite a bit but of course, this is a completely different animal now from previous models. https://i.imgur.com/BtN1yMK.jpg |
