Toyota Hybrid System is probably the best hybrid system in the market right now. If you drive a lot and plan to keep the car for a while and want to save lots of gas, would definitely recommend a hybrid.

yray 03-29-2018 08:27 AM

hybrid trail would be nice

in4 trail edition to be on bridgestone road tires

Nabatron 03-29-2018 11:25 AM

It's not there, I went last night

sonick 03-29-2018 12:07 PM

+1 echoing everybody here wanting a V6 (or at least some engine with V6 power).

When I got my Rav4 V6 it was originally just gonna be a don't care daily driver, but I've come to really like it.

It's getting up there in mileage tho, was considering buying a newer/lower KM Rav4 V6 of the same generation to replace mine before it hit 200k if there was no similar alternative in the new market.

twitchyzero 03-29-2018 12:08 PM

i thought toyotas can easily do 1000k so why you swapping out for the same car?

sonick 03-29-2018 12:12 PM

To avoid the hit on depreciation when odo goes over 200k.

Nabatron 03-29-2018 12:16 PM

does anyone know how much hp the new rav4 has? as for looks it looks way better then the new forester which they took away the XT model with the turbo:(

PiuYi 03-29-2018 05:14 PM

Not digging the back with the tucked in rear bumper, but otherwise major improvement over current edition!

If it's the same 2.5L Dynamic Force motor as the one found in the new Camry, should be the same power output. Just like how the Lexus UX and the Corolla Hatch will have the same power output of 168hp from the 2.0L Dynamic Force motor.

Jmac 03-29-2018 11:35 PM

Glad the Corolla is getting a power boost. Test drove the 2018 Corolla a few weeks ago and holy fuck is that thing gutless. GF's 09 Versa has more pull.

They should absolutely do this.

That, and add a selector to choose full-time AWD. This driveshaft disconnect thing is fine, just leave that function in an ECO mode.

the one on the right looks almost exactly like a hyundai. Still much better looking than the current gen 4runner though

Lol so a guy from open road Toyota called me saying that they were "very interested" in my RAV4. Is it just a sales pitch to get me to upgrade or is it legit?

FerrariEnzo 04-07-2018 06:24 AM

its always a sale pitch to get you into a new car.. lol

sonick 04-07-2018 08:29 AM

He said he was low inventory on used cars, offered to buy it back. Didn't talk about trade ins or anything. Offer was too low at $6400.

underscore 04-07-2018 09:34 PM

Yeah that seems very low unless it's seriously FUBAR.

The previous gen's(?) ass was so tall and big, it looked like a hot tub.

R1CED` 10-04-2018 04:07 PM

ugh, plastic steering wheel? that should be reserved for cars under 20k only
