Living beyond 50 and staying healthy.

I posted this for Van dwellers, thought I'd share it here also.

Always hydrate (fruits). Use Brita filters... avoid osmosis systems unless you live in contaminated state.

Avoid foods that are processed... ie trans fats, MSG (neurotoxin) and Aspartame (Splenda, anything diet) under hidden names, GMO's (specially soy and corn), high pesticide and preservative foods, high temperature cooked foods.

Basically if its in a can, box or not fresh, youre asking to die early at 50-70 years old or be chronically diseased.

Eat the right ratio of of omega 3 and 6 fats. A teaspoon of organic fridged flaxseed oil is a must.

Avocados and high quality walnuts.

Be weary of hormones in beef and chicken... consume little lamb instead.

Dont eat sugar, bacon and too much coffee. Avoid dairy [specially soy(hormones)] and wheat... unless you make your own bread. Use good quality rice instead (arsenic)

A cup of black tea a day is best (with low fluoride levels). Sweeten with figs\dates.

If your going to take one piece of advice, the key is to have ripen fruits as your staple diet... which is mostly grown tasteless (less nutrients) and made unaffordable.

Enzymes from fresh food and fermented food for proper gut bacteria (organic apple cider vinegar)

Herbs (mint) and spices like Turmeric are great.

Vegetables are for cows with their special stomachs as they tax your energy to digest them but if you cant afford fruits then its the poor mans way to stay healthy.

--------- Other

Always sleep in total darkness (triggers body repair)

Look into UVB (Sun) for vitamin D and grounding (earthing mats) and beware of EMF (unplug wires by your body, avoid cellphones, routers). Never microwave (nutrients), even for water (EMF).

Avoid scents (fake perfumes, dish soap, shampoos, fresheners of all kinds). Avoid deodorants\antiperspirants,

Avoid inorganic materials in your van which also fume (vinyl, foam, paints, plastic, polyester). Use cotton, wool and real wood instead.

Animals are a disease vector (Government purposely profits from Lyme disease patients)

A large percentage of cats host a bacteria that causes dementia in people.

You wont find this statistic online but the survival rate of using chemo is less 2-3%.

Root canals kill people and metal filling are toxic.

Vaccines can cause inflammation which create stokes in the brain aside from a host of other complications. (lowers intelligence in children, induces disease, allergies ect)

Walk to stimulate lymphatic system.

Medical drugs are purposely given to mask problems, not fix them.

welfare 05-12-2018 09:03 PM

Why is walking the only exercise activity on this list?
I mean, regular exercise can prevent just about every nontransmittable disease or disorder, yet I never hear of these naturopathic types hitting the gym.

CharlesInCharge 05-12-2018 09:48 PM

Really now, name 10 things regular exercise cures.

welfare 05-12-2018 10:52 PM

can prevent

Heart disease
Stroke
Diabetes
Cancers
Dementia
Depression
Anxiety
Arthritis
Osteoporosis
High blood pressure

If I lived in a van and had all that extra time, I'd be hitting the gym a lot longer than I do now

CharlesInCharge 05-12-2018 11:10 PM

So someone can eat McDonalds everyday but as long as they exercise, cancer, diabetes and heart disease will not manifest?

welfare 05-12-2018 11:42 PM

Show me where I said that.

welfare 05-12-2018 11:46 PM

I just thought it was kinda funny that a list compiled with the intent on extending life had only an ounce worth of the greatest combat to the effects of aging

SkinnyPupp 05-13-2018 12:39 AM

Some good advice in there, but some total bullshit. Overall SeemsGood

Lets see you debunk the top 3 of your choice with your mainstream Rupert Murdoch sources.

Yeah because that would be a good use of my time, and the results will certainly be worthwhile LUL

Turmeric is the new flavor of the month before that it was coconut water and before that it was acai berries.

Curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) has a ton of studies backing it up for several uses, including lowering inflammation and restoring liver health. It's one of those "everyone should have it in their daily supplement regime" type of things, especially as you age.

CoQ10 is another that shows to have health benefits (but nothing you'll notice acutely) and should be taken daily.

Everything else basically depends on what you can do to overcome "bad" genetics and/or diet.

I think MG is the only one that can really answer u guys, as I'm sure he's over 50 and living comfortably (I think)

I personally believe in having the right attitude plays a big part in healthy living period (aka mental health)

I always had depressions due to the fact that I was raised in a single house hold and my father was a great man but I was full of shit, then my dad passed away last year and i felt all alone/lost, I felt scared/sad

I was not going home and wondering on the street like a bum with no contact with anyone intill my gf (at the time) found me, then put me back on my feet (which was like almost more then a month)

This is why I believe in mental health playing a big part in health

CharlesInCharge 05-13-2018 02:57 AM

There are lots of biological factors that effect mental health.

Dr Russell Blaylock effects of food and nutrition on brain function and behaviour

Vansterdam 05-13-2018 03:02 AM

throw some daily CBD pills in there :)

!LittleDragon 05-13-2018 03:29 AM

Try injecting the turmeric, it's the latest thing

Healthy attitude towards life and staying positive - finding that silver lining to every dark cloud.
Appreciating every little thing you have, especially family and friends.
Having purpose in life - helping others out and making a difference - learning to share.
Having fun - a little humour goes a long way - maybe that's why I log into RS so muchee. Why pay money to go see a circus when there's RS for free. Good times!
Sexual health - not always about happy endings, but there's that one study, I can no longer find, about how men's life can be extended by looking at, and appreciating, beautiful women (for the LGBBQ, whatever turns their crank, I guess).
I don't drink, or do drugs anymore, and I have quit smoking. Those things will negate any gains made by eating healthy.
Eat what you want and stop worrying about it too much. Why take all the fun out of life, right?
Power naps - not everyone can do it, but man, when I get up after one, I feel like I can take on the world.
Taking everything with a grain of salt and not put all your eggs in one basket, meaning don't go on any flavour of the month diets or health trend.

Having said all that, stress management? I've had a lot of stress in my life, but I believe it's not as bad as people make it out to be........... Finally, "There must be dissonance before resolution." A musical reference that explains a lot in life.

Oh, one more......... there's that person (doctor) who said it doesn't really matter what you do, the heart can only beat so many times..... I think it's bunk, but I believe genetics plays a huge role in how long you live. In the end, who cares....... one day while texting someone, you'll get hit by a bus or get hit by a bullet or two in a crossfire between rival gangs at Metrotown or some random motel. Besides, do you really want to live past 100?

So that's why old men are such pervs oogling at girls EleGiggle

MG1 05-13-2018 06:12 AM

yup.........

Happiness is the key.

Like this one coworker of mine who comes from Québec said at a company christmas party, I WANT HAPPINESS!" in a thick, thick, did I mention a thick, accent.

I replied with, "Cum by my place tonight and I'll give you happiness (a penis)." Everyone else got the joke, except her, gulolol.

hud 91gt 05-13-2018 07:06 AM

Every elderly person I know who is doing great, never stopped moving when they got older and kept up a social network. The ones who became seditary are the ones who seem to not be doing as well. Mentally and physically.

With the amount of coffee and espresso I have been consuming, I am guaranteed to die before 50. Peace out, losers.

Lol, you're probably right, but back then, my boss was the one who hired women with the "elbow test".

Put hands behind head with fingers interlocked and point elbows forward. Walk up to wall. If elbows touched first, you weren't hired.

Oh, the gal who said she wanted happiness, she said shit that even made me blush. She was a hoot at parties......... a true party girl.
