Look for ones that have 2 hoses to vent the air and get one that has a higher BTU count. Higher the BTU, the colder your condo will be.
Like Ludepower said, you better get your ass on it because there's going to be shortage like 2 years ago

I think you're confusing aircons with the VanHoover Canucks..............
I love my Sharp AC. I've had it for at least 15 years. No issues whatsoever.
All my aircons blow......... none of them suck. Sorry, couldn't help it.

I think it's a small price to pay for the amount of comfort you can get for years to come. Quote:

all input and feedback greatly appreciated! | I doubt you'll find an AC with a humidifer (AC dehumidifies; humidification defeats the purpose).
If you're getting a portable unit, the two-hose recommendation earlier is better than a single-hose. With a two-hose unit, the condenser side draws outside air in through the condenser coil and discharges it outside.
With a single-hose unit, the condenser side draws indoor air in through the condenser coil and discharges it outside. This creates a slight negative pressure in your living space, drawing air from outside (or, if you're in a condo/apartment with a common hallway, the hallway). That's bad if the outside air is warmer than your place plus you're taking freshly air conditioned air and discharging it outside, another example of poor efficiency.
If you're going the portable route, make sure the unit evaporates the condensate out the exhaust, otherwise you may need to empty the water reservoir multiple times a day on humid days plus leaving stagnant water inside your unit is a recipe for bacterial growth.
A window unit is a better option than a portable as the compressor and condenser coil are outside, meaning no heat sources in your living space. They're roughly 25% more efficient than a portable unit, but will require a mounting bracket and they're usually designed for windows that slide vertically (many windows slide horizontally or swivel).
If it's a permanent residence, a heat pump is probably your best option as it can provide cooling when it's warm outside and is a cheap source of heat in the cooler months, but these will be significantly more expensive to purchase and should be professionally installed.

The window units also are almost always not allowed by strata in most modern buildings.
