The average person In India or China probable does more harm to the environment then these guys ever did.
one is going about a way of life because they have no other choice
another is deliberate, literally standing and photographing in front of a prohibited sign
they even gloated in their stupid Pikachu machu picchu photo they were repeatedly warned by the security to get off the terrace
Funny in my BMX "crew" growing up in nanaimo, IIRC we white kids were the minority. We were mostly indian friends, vietnamese, one chinese kid and a FN kid in our group
Just an anecdote, but I suppose I could call it a "fact" like you did
I knew most of the Indian kids in town and none of them rode BMX.

White People Shit
Also known as "WPS". Usually associated with extreme sports, activity with dangerous animals, or large acts of terrorism.
Tyrone: "What are you doing?"
Blake: "Prepping for this wingsuit course I'm going to take off the crest of Mount Everest. You should come!"
White people simply love to spend their free time walking up and down mountains and sleeping in the forest. Search "hiking" in Google Images and see how far you have to scroll to find a nonwhite person. Ditto rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and so on. That white people love the outdoors is so widely accepted as fact that it's become a running joke. The website Stuff White People Like has no less than three entries on the subject: "Making you feel bad about not going outside" (#9), "Outdoor Performance Clothes" (#87), and "Camping" (#128). The latter entry reads, "If you find yourself trapped in the middle of the woods without electricity, running water, or a car you would likely describe that situation as a 'nightmare' or 'a worse case scenario like after plane crash or something.' White people refer to it as 'camping.'"
Extreme athletics is where “white everymen perform supra-normal athletic feats in high-risk sporting activities like BASE jumping and sky surfing. Extreme sports are also portrayed as sporting activities which have revived a sense of traditional American masculine values and pursuits: rugged individualism, conquering new frontiers, and achieving individual progress” (p. 63). Predictably, for Kusz, engaging in such sports by Whites is the politics of backlash and resentment that “attempt to deny the racialized privileges of whites while masking (and thus ensuring the reproduction of) asymmetrical relations of power in the present. [They are also an attempt] to reverse the minimal gains made by historically marginalized groups since the 1960s” (p. 69).

I totally lost track what this thread is even about. Are people trying to argue that white folks don't compromise the majority of individuals of the sports Manic! is referencing? Of course they do, it's all about barrier of entry in terms of financially, as well as culture.
You should see the looks I get when I'm skiing down in the States/Canada, most of the time I'm the only colored guy on the hill. It's always been that way. Not sure what that has to do with this topic though.
Could it be not many minorities live in areas accessible to wilderness areas? Vancouver is a bit of an outlier here but most metro areas are far away from nature.
Just a thought. When I was in Utah, there were plenty of minorities (East Asians/South Asians) visiting the big name national parks (Zion, Bryce), but it was still overwhelmingly white. Even then I figured most of the Asians were just drive thru visitors while the white folks camped out. In the small towns/rural areas/wilderness, I was the only Asian for miles (unless you count Native Americans)

It's more of whats the point. Older generations where too busy working. Look at Everest. It's been there for thousands of years but no Nepali thought about climbing it because what was the point. It was not going to put food on the table.

They probably thought it was sacred and the abode of the gods. It took a heathen white man to say "hey let's get on top of that sucker". Of course Sir Edmund Hillary wouldn't have succeeded without his Sherpa guide, Tenzing Norgay.
Everest - Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norgay
K2 - Ardito Desio
Kangchenjunga - George Band, Joe Brown
Lhotse - Fritz Luchsinger, Ernst Reiss
Makalu -Lionel Terray Jean Couzy
Cho Oyu - Pasang Dawa Lama, Joseph Jöchler, Herbert Tichy
Dhaulagiri - Kurt Diemberger, A. Schelbert, E. Forrer, Nawang Dorje, Nyima Dorje
All white males except for the Sherpa's.

PS. NSAR now does charge each person for every rescue they undertake. They made that announcement last year when people just didn't understand they were doing dumb shit and being 100% unprepared. At the end of every one of their NEWS1130 articles, they have the same comment: "Be prepared so you won't be our next customer".
NSR does not charge. they don't literally mean that their subjects are customers.
White privilege in North America is real. Though it's not like there aren't rich people in other countries like India, China, Africa, Middle East. To blame your circumstance on external factors is a slippery slope and would eventually lead to a victims mentality.
The real struggle is being black in America where there is statistical data that they have a harder time finding well paying work, receive more random searches, and heavier sentences.
On topic. The real heroes are lions bay and squamish SAR for retrieving their bodies. They should have received that gofundme donation for helicoptering their bodies out of the falls. It is disgraceful otherwise. I'm pretty sure these people made a shit load of money from being Internet celebrities.
I wouldn't doubt jumping in to try and save her would be something these guys would do. It seems to fit their character, in terms of disregarding consequences. In the news reports, it sounds like the reports were made by witnesses that were there that day.

At risk of being misinterpreted, that can usually be avoided by not doing illegal shit.

The two brown teachers I had in high school were amazing. Mr. Parmar. I worshiped the ground he walked on - so damn smart. He was the physics teacher at China High. Then there was Chandra Madhosingh. Full of himself, at times, but nice enough. He inspired me to be more. Good table tennis coach (not ping pong - say that in front of him and he will go silent). Astrophysics/Earth Sciences. Had a very pretty wife, from what I can remember. Now why would I remember that?
Anyway.................. carry on carrying on.
